Omg I hope not... possibility of faking the device inside the game should be hardcoded as impossible and if spotted because of game being hacked then user should get a permanent ban.

OK I checked back again strip #215 there is no indication about taking of dreamband device while going to bed to sleep... it is edited version now because in first one he had dreamband device on last panel on his head... now it looks like he "simply" forgot that he never logged out and went to sleep in his virtually 1:1 recreated in game room and bed...

Here's my take- after the dance thing with Sophia, Felix decided he would rather just be....Felix, but what he creates is virtual Felix, that is who almost gets it in with Lisa, but then turns into Nori, and after that wakes up in bed as Fiona. I think he was unable to distinguish between virtual Felix and real Felix.

Yeah they're definitely still in a game. This is why it confuses me even more... because there shouldn't be fake simulated device in the game... my mind has the same mindset set by Wachowsky sisters from matrix... while they're in matrix they didn't have connectors on their bodies...

I think that scene was also simulated. He thought he was in his bed removing the band, but he was still in the game actually. We've seen the game can change settings (from sexy virtual girlfriend to mermaid), so it likely changed the setting from mermaid to simulated Felix room without telling the player.

Yes Jessie the dreamland is a terrifying technology and I doubt you've even realized it can change who you are. Pick the right settings and Fiona would have been not just a normal girl but possibly not even realized her behaviour had changed.
