Oh, and that thing about a fire? That's possible foreshadowing for a strip that will happen 300-400 strips from now. I originally had a different idea for how that particular event was going to happen, but this lets me foreshadow it way in advance. :D

It's been a while, but i'm fairly sure that Sophie had to look after her dad? If so, there's a good possibility that her mother is also out of the picture, and the realism factor is probably due to her wanting to have the family life she always wanted. At least that's my theory anyway.
