🕑 Added 2024-11-18 05:26:28 +0000 UTCSo, after some thought, I've decided to go with the 'eye color matches whoever is control of the body' route, which is why Jess' eyes suddenly turned blue now that Felix is in control. They aren't physically blue of course, this is just to better illustrate who is in control of the body at each moment.
Which means that now I have to be careful about the eye color I give to any new characters in case they do any body piloting in the future.

I had the thought that maybe it can add new feelings, but not remove them, since you're not starting from a blank slate with your real body. Then again, maybe a Dreamband can suppress things as well.

And as for sex, I imagine it would be quite an intense feedback loop. With Felix experiencing what both bodies feel at once. It would be even more intense if both participants both have Neural Links, are connected to each other, and are sharing control both ways.

It's described a bit more clearly in Dreamband - Character Creation, but Felix isn't asleep, he just has his eyes closed so that he isn't seeing two environments at once. He can still feel himself laying on his bed, and he can still hear sounds inside his own apartment. Jess' Neural Link is digitizing everything she sees and feels and beaming it into Felix's brain, if anything happens to Jess, Felix will simply lose the data connection.

Hmm, good question. In the Dreamband you are dreaming that you are in that person's role and have their personality. Not sure if it would work the same way on your own body, but maybe its possible.

Had a random thought: we know that in Dreamband games, one's sexuality can be overridden. Would that work outside of games? Could someone wearing a Dreamband program it to override their sexuality irl for as long as they have it on?

Is that possible? His body right now appears to be asleep, but is there any consciousness inside? If he, in Jess' body starts doing something to disturb his own, dies that transfer him back t o his own body? Or could he have someone else take control of his body while he is in Jess'? Like a grand reshuffling of people and their minds. Am I thinking to much about this?
