Well, when Scott first encountered the Shadow Man back in chapter 9, SM did comment on Scott's strength and offered him the position of High Priestess if he played along with SM's plan.

I should have drawn Scott's shot a little higher, but if the Shadow Man hadn't dodged, Scott would have hit him in the abdomen.

Feels like when you first encounter a boss and your party throw everything is has... and it is not enough to finish the boss in the first round.

You missed, how could you miss when he was standing there monologuing. Also no it going to plan is not a good thing after Simon's little revolation the plan involves Robins injury. Though I do hope we eventually find out why the Shadowman has the rules he does.
