[Archived] RubiKuro and Egg
🕑 Added 2024-08-10 19:07:36 +0000 UTCHiiiii!!!!
I am sooo excited to share this newly hatched dragon with you!! With a little help from my test team I named her RubiKuro which translates to Ruby Claw!
This release includes:
π RubiKuro dragon
π 2 Prepainted RubiKuro 3MF files
π Rubi Egg
RubiKuro was tested down to as little as 50%, however I dont recommend going below 60% scale. Prints without supports. The large gradient Rubi in the pictures is approx 135% scale. I recommend using minimum 3 walls, and if you sometimes have adhesion issues I recommend using a brim with a brim gap between 0.3-0.6 mm, especially when printing in multicolor.
Egg
I have heard and took into consideration the concerns that were brought to my attention with Kaida's egg. I have made a few changes to this egg design, the egg is wider at the base which allows a dragon to fit much more comfortably! I have also made the tabs on the top a bit shorter to allow for easier opening and closing. Having a looser fitting top introduces a chance of the top coming off when shaking the egg upside down hard enough, it should however stay closed when flipped upside down, and with regular use. The Egg and Rubi are 1:1 scale, this means that 100% Rubi will fit into 100% egg. Egg prints without supports.
If you are using Bambu slicer I recommend using Arachne for your wall generator, this will ensure that there is an even number of walls on the egg.
When placing Rubi into the egg: It doesn't particularly matter which end you place in first, as long as you coil her up, then place the top over in line with the tabs and give a gentle shake, the top should snap in place easily. You can also place Rubi into the top of the egg, and bring the top down into the bottom. I have made a short clip of how to place Rubi into her egg, linked below

Is there anyway to get a straight version, scaled at 60 i feel i can fit more on a bed if it were straight
Christine
Iβll see if i can measure one!
Nicholas Ramales
how long is the dragon at. 100
Christine
Oh i see! I wonβt be redoing kaida egg, but this can be fixed by scaling the egg up 10%
Anie Habegger
The kaida eggs is a tight fit for the kaida dragon. Once you get the dragon in, its sometimes hard to get it out.
Christine
hiii!! How do you mean updated? Are you having issues with it?
Anie Habegger
Will there be an updated Kaida egg?
Christine
Sorry for the late response! Itβs ziro matte sunlit petal gradient π₯°

Love these! Feedback from my 2 girls. They love the gemstone look but wanted me to tell you to try and add more on her head so instead of looking like ears it looks like a crown :)
