Working on the various endings
🕑 Added 2024-11-30 09:59:31 +0000 UTCHey guys, for the past two weeks I've been trying to put together the various loose ends, and depending on dozen variables, to find the various endings for MJ.
First of all, I think it's a good idea for an update or two, to have an options menu as I did in 0.8, in order to allow you to see all the outcomes without having to replay everything again and again.
Minor Spoilers ahead:
First of all, I'll have to make some minor changes.
1. After the Theatrical Play, if the MC admits the truth, they decide to keep it professional again and sleep in different beds. Later, the MC catches her playing with herself. If he decides to 'respect her privacy' and return to his couch, they will have a professional relation until the end, so, in this case, MJ's status will turn to 'Reserved' and will never admit her love and the MC won't have the 'Prison Bitch' gift.
2. If MJ starts following a more lewd path (Stripper, Naked Photo Shoot, Fighter in the FClub), the MC will show her that she deep down wants this excitement in her life and her status will turn to 'Spoiled'.
Now, the variables for the endings I'll have to consider are:
1. Status (Spoiled/Friendly/Reserved)
2. MC/MJ Relationship: Romantic/Professional (Has MJ said the L word?)
3. NOT LEWD CAREER - MJ's on TOUR for 3 months
5 stars in Acting or Modelling or Dancing and factors that lead to success: FAME + IMAGE in general and specifically
Acting: DRAMA points + Tori Brooks
Modelling: LOOK MAX+3 + Vixen
Dancing: DEXT points + Recommendation Letter
4. LEWD CAREER - MJ's Spoiled - MC/MJ Relation: Professional
FAME + IMAGE are not important
3 stars in Fighting + PERV points to join the F Club
Stripper + PERV points + Exhibition points
Pornstar: Stripper + PERV points + Exhibition points + James Band
Also if MJ becomes a Player Girl (Meet Bob at least 2 times+ Naked Portfolio): FAME + 10 This can be done on either LEWD or NOT LEWD CAREER.
5. If MJ doesn't fit in any of the boxes above: Romantic: Stays in LA as Waitress/Hostess/DanceTeacher while still doing auditions/ Professional: Returns back home
6. Lea/Bethany: Depending on MC/MJ relationship, MJ might move in with Lea or Bethany
7. Last but not least, it's Mercedes pregnancy and if MC has decided to be involved or not.
So, as you can see, even the blueprint is complicated enough. So, wish me luck! Cheers. Stay safe.

Perhaps he'd let MJ get involved in porn because the initially slightly prudish girl has come to find that she really enjoys it. And maybe she's found that porn pays better?

I would leave that to the player. No one forces the player to pick that path for her. Yet I would agree that this path doesn't need to result in a different attitude. Spoiled would be more fitting for the model career plus possible drug addiction which also happens to successful people for example. But I would leave the option open that the player can constantly influence MJ's attitude. Just my thoughts about it.

No it hasn't. There's also s twist that I'm sure you'll all like. About the friend that enjoys herself... I hear you. For now, just to differentiate the various storylines (they can't all lead to porn, can they?) I always thought spoiled - greedy - without MC's guidance during his imprisonment --- Porn. Ok. Maybe just one way out of 12+ can't be realistic either. I'll see what I can do. You might be right. Thx

Sounds really great so far. I am just wondering if a simple good girl or bad girl would be easier for you to manage. You got these 3 stances of MJ. That creates much more complexity and also more work of course. Most other games use that pattern. But I also like that you do things differently. :) I just hope that you keep the possibility open to make changes or additional stuff if that game is done. Or did you maybe think about a second part somewhere in the Future ? cya !

Sounds like Visio hell. Why would a successful client let his friendly girlfriend to get involved in porn? Because he enjoys seeing her enjoying herself, and he gets to reclaim her afterwards (oops- letting my NTS show :D ). Besides, you've said she would only go g/g in porn- or has that changed?

Yeah. I hear you. I'm torn too. We could have a poll about it. My main question is why would a now successful agent let his friendly client/girlfriend get involved in the xxx industry. But I m open to suggestions.

Good luck! You might find it helps if you set out everything in the form of a flowchart. I'm torn. I'd like to get MJ into porn, but OTOH I'd prefer her character to remain Friendly rather than Spoiled.
