Beta Release ETA & News

We'd hoped to have the new beta build ready for you today but there's still a few scenes that need to be sketched out, and we want to make sure they're up to the standard of quality you expect (i.e. not stick figures :P). It looks like we'll need about 2 more days to polish things up, so expect Marion's Chapter 3 Beta Build to drop to our Beta Tester tier this weekend!
In addition to some new sprite sets like what we showed earlier in the week, this chapter will feature *deep breath*
- 11 new scenes
- 15 new sets of frames
- 2 new backgrounds
- 1 new achievement
- 1 new easter egg
- 22k more words
I'm sure it'll have one or two bugs in it too, so we look forward to hearing the beta testers' feedback!
In addition to the new build, our team members are working on some other neat stuff! We are finalizing our Demo Booth at Anthro New England, and our 3 Panel Presentations (which we will try to record and share if possible!). Transfurom is putting the final touches on a new game trailer for us, and Mits has been kind enough to test out Changeling Tale on Android. It seems to have some glitches with older Android models, and we have limited resources right now to test and fix them, but if you guys are okay with limited support, we might release an Android build soon. Let us know what you think!

Thr $25 tier is the beta tester tier, everyone else will get the game after about a month - give or take a bit, there's a lot of assets that need to be finished up for the final release of the build.

You guys are doing great! Don’t stress over time; you’ve got the community on your side here. I would personally wait till all the glitches are mostly handled for the phone release also, don’t want to have to stress about that as well as the booth and more parts to the game you know? Consolidate! You’re doing fine; we got your back on this! My family has a saying for this kind of scenario; “We are willows, we sway with the wind.” It means that stress should not bother us and we will let it roll on over as we deal with it. You see, other trees in the world fight the wind when it gets too strong, bending and eventually falling from staying ridged against it. Willows bend with the wind, they don’t fight it, and typically don’t fall because of it. We are willows; we sway with the wind. Be well and know that we all care about you!

Sadly the public release is still a ways out, this will just be a build for our beta tester tier-- but we'll take care of that Marion fix with teaser posts of some of the new art assets until it's ready for the broad release!
