Airbrushing on Bondo Spot Putty
🕑 Added 2022-05-07 18:56:10 +0000 UTCNew video tomorrow testing out Darkwingdad's method of smoothing 3D Prints by thinning down Bondo Spot Putty and airbrushing it on.
Using a $10 harbor freight airbrush worked SOOOOO dang well. Honestly more impressed with that ultra cheapo airbrush than this project haha.
RIP to my video comments when I post this - mixing/airbrushing outside, with gloves, and mask

Interesting, it’s not that crazy a idea. Look up “ schultz gun”. It’s what’s used for spraying car undercoating or truck bed liners. Basically a big airbrush for spraying thick material. You normally end up with a textured finish though and not a smooth one

Yeah, I’m honestly thinking about shelving the video for the moment. As much as I’d like to post it because I am seeing decent results and love sharing new techniques with people

Lol. Don’t let them deter you. I honestly think you should hit back and do a series called “What can’t you airbrush?” and just start a list…paint, glue, wd-40,…

People are about to eat you alive like they did the guy airbrushing resin. You might want to rethink this video. Too many know-it-alls online.
