Neptune Max update!
🕑 Added 2023-01-12 16:36:27 +0000 UTCPrinting a huge chest piece for a Dr Doom Cosplay armor set from Yosh Studios.
Currently 14hrs in on a 30hr or so print with a .6mm nozzle at .28 layer height
The print quality on this piece could have turned out better I think if I dropped the layer height back down to .2 but was having a hell of a time over the last few days. I swapped to a .8mm nozzle and got fail after fail after fail. I did manage to get one large .8 nozzle print but was hoping to print this chest plate with it in under 20 hrs. Sadly did not happen.
Should hopefully have the video up this weekend on it. Thing is HUGE!
Also I setup a Wyze camera & a smart outlet with the printer so I can remotely monitor/kill the print if I need to. More than likely gojng to design a stand for the Wyze camera for the Neptune 3 plus/pro/max & a video next week on the entire setup & what other options are out there.
Let me know what sort of tools you run for remote monitoring/ control

What slicer did you use for the prints in the video?

I’ve been using OctoPrint for the last couple years, I love it! I can remote access it with OctoEverywhere. I’m an Apple person so I use the OctoPod app. Not sure if the Neptune’s will work with OctoPrint? I hope they do!

Impressive that there is so much extra space on the bed even with such a large print
