Uncle Jessy

Oh I was saying that because it seems to be more time consuming than the typical filling / sanding & painting. But would totally be a good option to smooth & paint if you wanted. Thanks for joining as well!

I don't know if you'll see this but why did you say NOT to do this if you're going to paint them? Also I don't have my printers setup yet and I have the the liquid kind will this work for that?

Chris Smith

I’ve been trying something similar with a cheap pen style fdm printer with meh results. This might be a better option

Ramble6

Is it glue together first and then "weld" into the crease/gap?

James DiFrancesco

Oh nice, as a metal welder/Fabricator I am more scared to try and weld PLA lol.

Uncle Jessy

Yep!! I was using a bunch of the scraps and melting them into it. Def takes some practice but fairly impressed

James DiFrancesco

You might want to try to put filament upto the pieces and weld it like that almost like soldering or real welding. Could come out a little cleaner for sanding it back.

Dan Wabno

It definitely takes practice! And hard not to melt too too much
