I've received my N4+ today. With default Orca profiles are print times 2x higher than on Ender 3s1 with sonic pad. Are your profiles better? If yes, where can I find them please?

It made all the difference in my machine's performance. I also saw no more stringing once I manually balanced and then auto-balanced the buildplate and used Cura that came with the machine. I prefer Orca, but the stringing was horrible no matter what I did - cura worked and the prints for 3 weeks now have been stunning with zero failures and I am running the machine almost non-stop. Good luck!

Is there anything you need to add to the code to get an orca sliced print to home after it is done? It did it automatically in elegoo cura but not in th orca for some reason

Dean, at first used the default Elegoo Cura profile settings that came with N4+. But I took all the config settings and G-code details and transfered it over to regular Cura. Then I adjusted the temp, speed, walls, support, and travel settings. But now I'm using UJ's N4 Max profile and just adjusted the settings for the N4+ and started tweaking temp, speed, etc. again. Got pretty decent 2099 mask with UJ's settings with N4+ mod. But I'm dumping Cura and have gone with Orca now. Hence, waiting on UJ's update on the N4+ profile for Orca. Have had some great success with Orca.

I realized I didn’t answer your question, apologies, I pulled the sizes from the Elegoo sales page for the plus. I didn’t change anything else. Hope this helps.

I used UJ Max settings and edited the build plate size and max height in Orca. I also contacted Elegoo support as nothing would adhere to the build plate and it was grinding. They responded and I followed their instructions and updated the firmware on both the machine and the display. It’s like a new machine and I’ve had zero failures since. I recommend doing this.

Anthony, I have to say the same went for me out of the box and some minor tuning. My first benchy, nut cracker, buddah, and dice came out pretty good as well. I think the 4+ is awesome and experiencing much less issues than the 4max. I can't wait to see UJ 4+ profile setting and how much more it will fine tune my current configs.

All good, I'm sure we all appreciate you for the time and effort on this. I just got into the 3d printing scene but, I have to say....its soooo addicting. I've always loved tinkering with stuff like this. I learn so much by doing that and from others. Going to make a jump over to Orca once you post your N4+ profile. Seems like most are having better quality and control using Orca versus Cura.

Hey there! Sorry for the delay I royally jacked up my n4 profile and trying to get it back. I was messing with the speed settings to try and get it printing faster and didn’t realize I was saving over my good profile. Getting somethig out on it hopefully tonight.

UJ any updates on the Orca N4+ profile? I think I've got my N4+ configured, as I was able to print a 2099 Spiderman Helmet with very little issues, but wanted to see if your profile essentially fine tunes it to print even better/faster. I had a little stringing w/Cura, many support break issues, but all in all nothing I couldn't fix in tuning, or with the help of a 3D pen. lol.

Well I got it assembled, calibrated, and printed my first benchy. I must say it came out pretty good. Maybe I’m just lucky and didn’t have the issues that I’ve seen in other forums.

No profile yet but I took Chris Myers response and loaded the Max profile and changed the bed size in the profile for the Plus and it worked fine so far. I’m having a grinding sound when the plate goes to the back but I emailed Elegoo so we’ll see what they say. Guessing a firmware update.

For those who have their N4+ up and running - and since we have no build from UJ nor OrcaSlicer on GitHub (YET) - Did you download and use ELegoo's recommendation to get set up and dialed in for your slicer or did you use the Klipper Generic inside of Orcaslicer? Thank you!

Update, Elegoo contacted UPS and got back to me early this AM. They apologized for the UPS side and shared that they asked UPS to expedite these shipments that they are sitting on and to my surprise, they did! Not only is UPS Tracking showing movement for the 1st time, they are delivering today! Elegoo - Thank you! That is true customer service and great communication!

Just in case anyone else is having this experience with shipping, 6 days after Elegoo sent an email stating that the printer has shipped, UPS has not updated any shipping info. so I called them this AM and was told that my order was collected by UPS in California and is still sitting in their Ontario California distribution hub with no information on why or when it will leave there. They refused to help and told me to just keep checking. So I emailed Elegoo since they opted to use UPS and have asked them to look into why there has been no movement. Had UPS actually sent the package when they received it, I would already have it. Given I bought this for my business, like many of you I am sure, these delays effect our bottomline, especially at the holidays. We'll see what Elegoo has to say. This is exactly why I stopped using UPS for our business over 2 years ago.

I emailed them to cancel my plus order to get the max instead, I had ordered in September and was told that the shipment of neptune 4 plus got stuck in customs and that is the reason for the delay on shipping. Also this is NOT 100% confirmed but they should be ready to ship to customers throughout the next 10 days. Hope this helps.

same boat as your @Ryan Greeson I have tried everything under the sun and I can barely get a z offset print to stick to the bed twice in a row, I have yet to print anything and honestly pretty upset that today marks my 14 day return period, I won't be ordering anything from Elegoo website anymore only amazon...that 30 days of 0 questions asked would have saved me 500 bucks at this point.

I have the 4 Max too, and it printed 5 prints flawlessly (having never leveled it) until I upgraded the firmware, which erased all the leveling data. I spent 8 hours leveling and re-leveling. I cleaned all the glue off my bed too. This is my first 3d printer, so I'm a complete noob. Finally I got the right level and it has printed about 17 prints flawlessly since then.

I will say my plus has had no homing grinding or z offset issues like my 4 max. Obviously had that massive print fail/clog 😂🤣🤦‍♂️ I think the stringing will be adjusting my temps more than anything. I’m printing at 220/218 right now which might be too high for it

Yeah some sort of fail detection / camera would be great. Not sure they will ever go that route in order to keep costs down

I seem to be having bed level issues with my 4 max. It's basically unusable. Is it just me or are others also having an issue? I assume it is firmware related.

I've pre-ordered one of these, but after being burned by the N4Pro Firmware issues I'm fairly concerned about the Plus - do you think this stringing is a slicer issue or a problem with the hardware?
