I have to admit, I really like how the AMS seems compact and clean. The AMS for the A1 and A1 mini just feels cluttered, with a huge footprint. However, on the flip side, the extruders on these A1 models seem pretty clean and efficient. I would love to see an upgrade path available for the X1-Carbons to allow for this efficient extruder but the organized look of an AMS. I don't know if the design of the X1-Carbon allows for that, though.

So am I seeing this right it is the same size as the P1 or X1 machines just an older bed slinger version?

I have to say, that's pretty cool. Most everything I print gets painted and finished, so I've not yet pulled the trigger on a printer with any kind of filament swap or AMS. I know it will vary per print, but what would you say the ratio of printer poop to material used is for this print?
