Hunter X hunter is okay, I personally didn’t care for it at all and I loved avatar. But I wouldn’t be mad if they did Hunter X Hunter either, it’s interesting for sure. I just felt like the end was so anticlimactic it was absolutely unnecessary and disappointing to me lol. But I did enjoy FMA: Brotherhood! I wouldn’t be upset about that being watched at all.

If we're writing down our hopes, then mine are Fullmetal Alechemist Brotherhood and Hunter x Hunter. The first is really good, especially for Avatar fans. The second one is better to watch after a few shonen anime because it spins genres really well, creating a world that at first seemed lighthearted but is really dark in fact.

My hero’s academia is also a very good one for them to watch! 💪💯. I think demon slayer is coming to an end as well but not completely sure 🤔. We’ll see the poll they put up but hopefully they don’t chose one piece or long anime’s with 20 seasons long 😅😂

I’m not saying they are, just thought suggesting anime’s in that category I would be easier for them. Full Metal is a great one too, though personally mha has way better story telling and character arcs. I couldn’t get into mob psycho after seeing the first season personally but I’m fairly picky with anime 😆. I forced myself thru the first few seasons on Naruto cause I couldn’t handle the childishness of the kids but reminded myself I was a kid when it came out lol. Anyways it’s just my recommendation they said they’ll do a poll later for which to do next ☺️

If a complete story without hundreds of episodes is what they're looking for, there are far shorter complete anime out there. They would adore FMAB and MP100.

The only thing with demons slayer is that it’s still in progress of completing. Once it’s complete, absolutely. Demon Slayer is amazing! I just think giving them an anime they can binge all the way through first would make sense and be easier for them.

After Invincible or AOT can yall please do My Hero Academia for your next anime? 😁😁😍 Seventh and final season starts in May. So plenty of time to start it and binge it in its entirety. The story arc is absolutely amazing! It’s as amazing as AOT in its own complete way. Plus there isn’t hundreds of episodes like Naruto, one piece, fairytale etc. ITS WORTH IT. Oak would absolutely love the life lessons in it too 😆

I didn’t watch any OVAs during my first viewing and I had no trouble understanding the story. I think it’s better they move on with the main story and watch the Ilses OVA after the second season if they want to.

I was thinking about some films and a couple of tv series you might like: Rio Horton hears a who Bee movie Monsters vs aliens Happy feet Tale of desperaux Hoodwinked Chicken little Hotel transylvania Croods The last mimzy Lemony snickets Arthur and the invisibles Penelope Marley & me Nims island 5 Children & It Wreck it ralph Possibly: Remember me Buddies films e.g air buddies, snow buddies, space buddies etc Spiderwick Tinkerbell Finding dory Meet the robinsons Izombie Flushed away Brother bear Monsters inc/monsters university Ice age film series Journey to the centre of the earth Jungle cruise Vampire diaries (though i know you’re not overly keen with certain vampire types and vampire diaries has a few series, there is a lot more action and fighting than there was in twilight and other aspects you might find enjoyable).

Even though it was released before S2, there is general disagreement of watching Ilse’s notebook in that order. And when the alternative is watching it after a specific episode during S2, its just too much hassle and a distraction from the season’s story. So imo watching it after S2 is the best option.

I guess. Part of the reason I’m annoyed is 2 of the only parts of the show they’ve complained about is the plot being hard to follow and forgetting side characters, both of which are heavily helped by watching the OVA’s. I genuinely think most people arguing against them probably have just never seen them. It’s impossible for me to imagine an AoT fan seeing all 8 OVA’s and thinking, “hmm, I should convince others to skip these”. Feels like they wouldn’t even be interested in AoT at all if that’s the case

I think it'll be okay. I agree its to their benefit to have watched it, but also a good number of people have watched S2 without it (which might be where the pushback is coming from. For quite some time the OG viewing experience for many in NA was not to have seen it, since CR didnt have the OVAs until 2021. Folks want to see reactions similar to their own).

I’m always just in shock when AoT fans, on a channel that does AoT reactions, argue for less AoT content purely out of impatience. I don’t blame the reactors for skipping it, more just weirded out by the cross-section of AoT fans we got in here convincing them to lol

I watched AoT without watching any of the ovas and understood everything. Watching ilse’s notebook afterwards was pretty cool though, but I don’t think the OVA’s are mandatory to understand the story.

Isle’s notebook was released before Season 2. In the original manga, the author Isayama himself placed the episode of Ilse’s notebook even before episodes when Eren joined the survey corps. The info here is meant to be read/watched quite early on.

It's ok. Ovas had much lower interest compared to ending of the first season if you look at likes and comments. They do what majority wants, which makes sense. They did already 2 of them so let's not be too greedy~

… Ilse’s Notebook was written by Isayama and released between S1 and S2.. it’s considered the only must-watch OVA by the fanbase for a reason lol

Haven’t seen an AoT reactor skip Ilse’s Notebook in quite some time. Will be interesting to see how they understand Season 2 without the huge clue from that OVA
