I love Annies ovas dearly but they were released between season 2 and 3 so personally I think watching it after s2 wouldve been best but you watched the notebook ova at that time so i see why time was short~

I watched all 3 episodes and honestly the first two were good for world building but imo the Annie character building is better not watched. The third episode however I agree is a must watch 👍

Thank you so much for the 5 episode drop! I love Annie a lot and I had never seen these before, definitely makes me even more interested in her. Also weird note, but I really like her facial design lol- not often you see an anime character with a nose like hers

Mikasa's OVA is not alternative for fr sake. It shows literally Mikasa's thoughts and fits perfectly between Season 3 Part 1 and Part 2. She even can spoil the show to the audience. That, what happens during the OVA, is literally confirmed in the Final Season.

People in the community underestimating the OVAs all the time. This makes me literally angry. Annie's OVA is a character study about her dad. Additionally you get more insides of society inside the wall. Mikasa's OVA is also a character study, it plays between Season 3 Part 1 and 2 and literally tells the audience, what the fate of Eren and Mikasa is. There is also OVA 3 which is set between Episode 3 and 4. It gives the side characters more screen time and the dialogue between Armin and Keith at the end is mindblow, after you finish AoT.

They are all canon for the anime. These 3 OVA's were written by different authors than Hajima Isayama, the main author who wrote the rest. But, he gave the greenlight for these stories and said himself he enjoys them and considers them canon and hopes fans of the series watch/enjoy them as well.

No this is Annie’s story prior to the female titan arc in season 1. The alternate reality one is lost girls ep 3 about mikasa

Meh. I was looking forward to them starting Season 4 today and it's ovas instead. I never seen these but I just read the synopsis and decided I'll pass on watching it. Regardless, I hope the guys enjoy it. EDIT: Correction. I've been informed that S4 is coming today. Sorry for jumping the gun. It's really unheard of to get 3 episodes of one series in a single day let alone 4. Badd Medicine really does spoil us. EDIT: We got FIVE episodes of AoT in one day. Badd Medicine is the best.

I’m an AOT fan and I never watched this particular ova. Does anyone know how important this is for the series? I always assumed this one was fan service / filler content compared to the Levi/ymir ovas which gave new information.
