It's been in development hell for years. I'm not hoping for it anytime soon.

Maybe would be a great Dumbledore for the new series??

The Moriarty in the first film was originally a different actor, which is why when they casted Jared Harris in this one, they ADR'd all of his dialogue from the first one and it just sounds not that great to me..But I know it was for consistency of the character..

I heard a part three is getting worked on I hope so

Man I loved watching ya'lls reaction to Sherlock's "death" scene. From that moment to the end of the movie is like a repetition of history. In the books Doyle intended that conflict to be the end of the Sherlock Holmes series, but the readers(much like Oak) were devastated and demaned Doyle keep writing because they couldn't believe that Holmes died! Then he comes out with another book and explains how Holmes survived and people were ecstatic that they got more Holmes. There's nothing better than a writer could ask for am I right? I'm in the camp of being happy if the story had ended there. After all, Holmes said it himself earlier right? 'If I could be certain of your destruction, I'd be more than happy to embrace my own destruction.' The man knew that Moriarty was too evil and dangerous to be allowed to continue, and if Holmes couldn't beat him then at least he's happy to make it a draw. What a sacrifice. Everything else I can't agree more with. Stephen Fry is a delight here, the movie really ramps up everything that was great about the first, and yeah the cinematography of the forest scene is just pure ART! One of my favorite scenes of all cinema. And of course Moriarty being played portrayed perfectly as a competent and dangerous foil to Holmes is just awesome. The final confrontation between them was such a surprise moment when Moriarty jumped in with his own assessment. This one is definitely one of those rare sequels that's just better than the original in my opinion. Glad you guys enjoyed it!

The scene in the forest is one of my favorite action scenes ever. The way Holmes hands Watson the rifle and how Watson then shoots the bad guy is so cool and it was the first time I thought "Damn, Jude Law IS hot."😅 Guy Ritchie just knows how to do such scenes. And the music...ugh, just great.
Love10 ❤️
My fave one

Jared Harris is the son of the first Dumbledor who passed away after the second HP movie.

Fun little fact about the Slow-Mo sequence in the woods. That was helped created by Gavin Free. Gavin was/is a huge part of the company Rooster Teeth and the creator of the youtube channel " The Slo-Mo Guys. At the time, gavin was one of the only people in the world with access to the "Phantom slo mo Camera' which that scene was shot with for the extremely slow shots. I even remember watching a video Gavin released back in 2011 talking about it. A legendary scene that most movies that do slo mo look at for reference. It was his first time doing work in a full scale commercial movie, and he absolutely killed it. Loved the reaction, and i cant wait until the 3rd movie is finished!

Sherlock being on the spectrum has been a long topic of discussion ranging from fan sites to professional analysis, and can sometimes turn into a very one sided view of what it means to be autistic because in most popular media, Holmes or Holmes-like characters, are portrayed as "mind blind" or "cold hearted." A lot of it has to do with the public domain of the character as a more emotionally intelligent or "warmer" version of Sherlock isn't available to the public yet. There was a case between the estate and Netflix because of the Enola Holmes movie because Henry Cavill's portrayal "infringed on copyright." (BTW would love to see your reaction to those movies as well)

I heard they gonna do a third one I hope so raise it to the next next level
I'm Batman
Loved this movie and I do agree that this was the better of the 2, everything was just raised a level. Only thing I didn't like was the super early death of Irene. She was one of my favorite characters in these movies.
