Light and Misa both gave up the death note, which means they have no recollection or memory of it. So no Mason, they didn't kill Lights dad to save themselves only because they weren't holding the death note, they genuinely didn't know about it. And no, he is not saying "haha gotcha" when he was let out. =_=

Once you guys finish the show, I highly recommend watching some of the fan edits of Death Note scenes with no internal monologue, they are hilarious

To play off of what oak said during the review about how every detail is laid out, literally EVERY SINGLE THING said in this show MATTERS. Every little snide comment. Everything little thing L mutters under his breath. Reactions from others in the rooms. EVERY SINGLE THING. This ep I felt was the transition ep. Its always been up but its shooting from here in my opinion. So glad you guys are enjoying this anime 🤍💛
