The fight between Mark and Conquest was incredible in the comics. The show did it justice. You could really feel the weight of the hits, the sonic boom of their speed while flying, the emotion in the voice acting. I absolutely loved it. The comics have much better drawings, which slightly makes the comic fight better in my opinion, but seeing it animated surpassed my expectations for what I thought we were going to get

I think Conquest could have defeated Mark easily. He played too much with him and the others. He could have wrapped up the fight quicker

We do understand. They left off season 2 with a Nolan and Allen in a big cliffhanger. They did not follow up to well here with that storyline. Us expecting a little more than 1 episode is more than fair. There are people out there that can more invested with other stories besides Marks. Whether it's Mark's story or not. 🤙

DD, to your question concerning Mark's suit melting beside the bed: that's intentionally cryptic and there is nothing you need to (or should) know about it right now. They'll make sure you remember it when it's time for that bit of plot to come back around. 😁 To your other question regarding how this episode compared to the comic: in terms of brutality, I’d say it was about on par (though Ryan Ottley's art has a visceral quality to it that gives it an edge that the animation doesn't have). IMO where it surpassed the comic was in how it added even more depth and complexity to certain moments and characters, particularly for Eve, Debbie, Cecil, and Conquest. I’ll refrain from saying exactly how in case you decide to check out the comic. Have faith where Allen and Nolan (and Battle Beast!) are concerned. I think you’ll like how their story unfolds.

Btw, the episode titles are quotes from the comics (though interestingly, the comic for this title wasn't adapted in this episode). Also, Robert Kirkman said he wants to do 7-8 seasons for Invincible (we just got to #65/144 with this last episode) plus he has said he wants to expand the story in certain parts.

I’m pretty sure dark blood never came back in the comics so the post credit scene is surprising. Also for Nolan and Allen, you guys won’t be disappointed when they come back

This episode and season were awesome. Nolan and Allen didn't show up because its not time for them to do so yet. This story is about Mark and this season really pushed him. This show does things for a reason and with many more seasons to come not everything will be wrapped up until its proper time.

I'm with you guys. A few awesome episodes but it feels like they have too many things going on and too many side stories. I get it's a superhero universe and you're going to have smaller villains and such, but it gets kinda hard to follow at points and waiting on things like Nolan does kinda stink. But excited for more and this was probably my favorite episode so far even with my issues

Yes DD i am slightly disappointed for not seeing Alan & Nolan, however that did not take away from this episode at all imo, also same with Answer, i was expecting Nolan & Alan to save the day, WOW tho, they saved the budget for this episode and it shows, best fight scenes of the entire show
