I think a better storyline for Eve, would have been if she had been a villain from the start, seeking to corrupt Lucifer in order to pull him and Chloe apart. Or perhaps she could have eventually come to join in Father Kinley's mission to send Lucifer back to Hell much earlier on in a revenge plot of some sort, or at the very latest... when Lucifer finally broke up with her at the end of Super Bad Boyfriend. I would have loved to see the poison and a near exorcism storyline actually take place, but with Eve being the one to lure Lucifer and Chloe into a trap so she could drug him instead of Chloe. But that's just me perhaps. I think seeing Kinley attempt to exorcise Lucifer back to Hell would have been really interesting to see. Perhaps I will have to write that storyline in a fanfiction story though. Which I think I will do. :)

I hate Eve, period. And not only because she's naive to the point of stupidity, clingy and annoying, and I overall despise whole love-triangle here, but also because she seriously made me feel bad for Cain :/ I mean, he was a douche (no offense to Dan xD), and he got what he deserved; but it made me cringe how his own mother dismissed his death to bang his killer. That seriously makes her look bad, in my opinion. She's also pretty inconsistent for a character. Few times she gushed how she loves Lucifer because she can be herself with him, bla bla bla, but then not only pushes him to be worst version of himself, but also turns it around in second when he breaks up with her, saying how she did everything to please him (ie, was't herself). Just, make up your damn mind, woman *facepalm* The writers could have gone with a better story for her, as concept of Eve showing up (as first woman/Cain's mother) was interesting, instead of making her ANOTHER c*ckblock between Lucifer and Chloe.

the entirety of the show is about humanizing Lucifer and showing that he isn’t evil, that he doesn’t want to force people to do anything, and that he hates himself for all the evil and bad shit that he has done to people out of selfishness. If you don’t understand why Lucifer doesn’t just destroy her you haven’t been paying attention at all. She’s his friend, a close one, that’s he been with for millennia, that has had several plot lines about how she’s not just some servant or pawn for him to use and is her own individual.

I do not understand why Lucifer lets Maze act like she does and constantly betray him. Maze was literally created to protect and obey Lucifer.... He could banish her to the worst parts of hell, or simply just incinerate her to dust. He is her KING. Maze should be helping Lucifer not working against him for a girl.

I really love this episode for Lucifer's and Chloe's major storyline as they both struggle with helping him to understand why he hates himself so much. If this episode left out all the crap with Eve, then it would be perfect. I really hate Eve. She makes me so angry because she's so selfish. I don't care about her naivety. She should have gone to someone who could help her to understand better why it is that her relationship with Lucifer failed, aside from because of everything Lucifer said to her to try to help her understand. She could have gone to see Linda again. And I don't like the idea of her and Maze being together either. I do love Maze overall, but Maze was really foolish to help Eve so much throughout this episode, especially for helping her to free Father Kinley. What happens next is now on Maze as much as it's on Eve too.
