That's right! Lithuanian language is rich in suffixes that express smallness. The lake could also be called Gėjelis, Gėjytis, Gėjutis, Gėjulis, or Gėjužis, and it would also mean Little Gay.

What is this about naming places? I mean there was once a place in Austria called Fucking. And only when the Americans where there they got to know what that means. They have, some years ago, changed the name.
