This song makes me cry every time I hear it. Hyunjin’s lyrics are pure poetry, they hit me so deep. The raw emotions from this song as each member sings with all their heart, and BangChan had the perfect hook and music for this….hauntingly beautiful. I want to see this side from Stray Kids more…..this hits me in my soul. I’m glad to see your reaction to it. I too get goosebumps listening to it. Thank you for your reactions….I’m loving them.

Hyunjin really pushed their vocal abilites with the way he wanted this sung but he had full confidence they could do it. I highly suggest watching the making of it which also has the making of megaverse. Seungmin was able to do that vocal belt in 1 take even though he recorded 3 they still felt his 1st take was the best. Chan wrote the 2nd verse and helped with the compositions along with one if his friends and directed off hyunjins notes when he was at the Versace event. They like to call this hyunjins baby and it is one of my top all time favorite songs and i listen to it often. Hyunjin writes poetry and many if his songs are based off that and often chan will help him tweak his poems to become full songs. His poem book is almost like chan's lap top: full of so much that no one knows about.

Feeling like Hyunjin is having a hard time but is not reaching out, which we know was true back in the day, wishing someone would find them is also a projection. Part of the listener that feels this song deeply is wishing the same. Like they want comfort but won't ask for it. Even if only speaking to the inner child/younger self. Ben is feeling that for sure.

My favorite Stray Kids song. I haven't read all of the comments, so maybe someone else already said this, but HYUNJIN wrote this one! It's so absolutely breathtaking and beautiful and sad. Not only did Hyunjin write it, but he also produced it. Chan helped and is also credited, but it's very clear in the BTS that even when Chan was directing, it was at Hyunjin's specifications (he couldn't be there for the entire recording because of a Versace event). But Hyunjin assigned every line, left detailed instructions on what he was looking for, and when he got back he was in the studio with Chan and calling the shots. He did SUCH a good job! But yes, this song is so absolutely stunning, sad, and beautiful. I can listen to it over and over. Also, I LOVE that Hyunjin assigned that belt to Seungmin (OF COURSE!) AND CHANNIE, who so often does not give himself the killing parts to songs but is such an amazing vocalist as well!

I love all skz songs so much, but this one just hit my heart different. Hyunjin and Bang Chan did a wonderful job writing this one. Then the delivery of emotions from each of the members... just wow. And Kim Seungmin, if I'm not in tears by the time he belts Cover me now! then there is something deeply wrong with me. This has become my favorite Stray Kids song of all time. It's deeply personal and relatable and absolutely beautiful. It also touched me in ways that I don't often deal with. That's the beauty of music.

I also deeply relate to "I tried to hide away from all the sorrow and pain but little did I know that I was going insane" but I feel like the next line is even more important "the sun will always be there waiting after the rain" as a reminder to stay positive. it's a hyunjin and bang chan creation (although chan will say mainly hyunjin) it hits a spot you didn't know you had. I love this song so much. also side note because you'll love it, seungmin was originally going to hit the long note in falsetto, hyunjin suggested he change it to a more modal voice and the first take of that is a well known seungmin clip

It is just gorgeous. It reminds me of Streetlight--kind of touching on the same sort of struggle--as you spoke of. Such powerful lyrics and a topic that I don't really see much in music. There are plenty of heartbreak songs and just general struggle-songs, but this particular weight is as overlooked as those of us who are built to be the "streetlight", are usually overlooked.
