I'd say don't panic. Patreon has done this stuff before and they will give you chances to reaquire your account. I've seen plenty of artists that actually do draw the stuff they are targeting and they are fine or are given multiple chances.

I'm pretty sure it's larger than Patreon and caused by some country amending a child protection law to include fictional characters. They are likely scared of dealing with any potential legal issues so they are just cutting a finger off.

The writing has been on the walls for a while now lots of artists have been suspended for similar reasons in 2019.

The problem is they could claim any character looks under 18 as they see fit. As these are fictional characters there is no way to fight their claim, there are many IRL pornstars who look under 18 becuase of their small builds so this will likely be troublesome.

I would take anything posted on that site with a huge grain of salt, as they're clearly a heavily biased source, but this seems to be the way Patreon is heading regardless.

As far as i read about it its not about japanese style, its about minor looking characters which some people simply declare as anime artstyle to get past patreons terms of service, which means if the characters you draw look 18+ no matter the artstyle everything is fine.
