Begotten and Werewolves still start weak compared to their later selves, but in RPG terms, a level 1 werewolf or nightmare monster, is a good deal stronger than a level 1 vampire. Vampires get to live forever though.
Rogue
What Jack mentioned he didn't earn the curse's power, it reminded me of the time Jacob mentioned the begotten not earning their power. A lot of the strong supernatural being, such as werewolf don't really earn their strength.
