You touched some surface that was also touched by someone who had the bacterial infection of pink eye, then touched possibly rubbed your eye. It isn't about being "clean" or not. It is just a highly contagious infection. Some infections need the help of proper antibiotics to clear them from our bodies. Even when our immune system is good it needs help. The lymph nodes are our filter system and those two caught and held the byproducts of that infection from being spread throughout your body. Take care of yourself. Sleep and eat well. (You may need to sleep more as you fight off the infection). Use you drops for as long as you are supposed to and don't stop early just because your eye feels better. Wash your hands and towels &,linens often to keep from spreading the infection to others and back to yourself. And get well. It is a pain for a moment, then it is behind you. And yes, you have to stay well and see these groups live yet. If you need someone to go with, you can join me and my daughter. Toronto is our favorite concert location. 😀

TRUTH!!! I work in a casino as a card dealer ( we are always touching cards, chips/cheques, empty glasses, etc.). But every break I get, the first thing I do is wash my hands with soap and water!! I try to save the sanitizer for emergency reasons that I CAN'T wash my hands (good to keep with you tho'!). First rule as a dealer (on a table or EVER without clean hands) is TO NEVER TOUCH YOUR FACE! Been a dealer now for almost 18 years, and have never gotten Seriously sick (Co-Vid aside.... THAT'S a totally different story!!! 😁 Unless it was an aerial virus {flu, cold} that doesn't require touch, just breathing). Just everyone, when you're out and about, don't touch your face, wash your hands as you can (or sanitize, just not too, too much!), consider masking up in public if you hear about "something going around (flu, Co-vid, nasty-@ss cold)", and make sure to "lotion up" and re-moisturize your skin because washing will "dry you out"!! And you can use your favorite scent and just smell good and feel soft skin!!! 😁😁😁 Geez, sorry this so loooooonnnnggggg! Stay healthy everyone!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤

Hope your "limp nodes" go down soon 😆 seriously though... do get well soon. Don't rub your eye at all, even with clean hands. If it gets itchy/weepy, use a cotton wool ball with warm water and wipe from the inside outward and throw it away immediately. I get eye infections from air conditioning at times and this always helps get rid of it quicker.

Don’t sanitize your hands too much. It’ll kill off the healthy germs that your body needs and dry out your hands. Can lead to a fungal infection. Instead of sanitizing just wash your hands with soap and water
