Interesting chapter. If you compare David’s visit to Lucifer’s Cathedral with the earlier visit of Mia it becomes clear how much they have grown in power. And I always wanted to learn more about the inner workings of the zotivas. Is Caera jealous? Talking about cliffhangers.

It definitely seems like the spire mothers have been encouraged by Azalia and/or Acelina to get on David's good side. I've been hoping to see demons use sex to influence, if not outright manipulate, David & Mia. Intimate scenes are great, but seeing an intelligent character shrewdly exploiting sexual attraction tickles my brain in like the deepest way possible. I'd love to see more of that whenever we reach the Scar! Either way, a satisfying send-off for Acelina—assuming she doesn't uncover the truth of Zel's death before the group leaves the Grave Valley.
