The younger Mcdougall looked at her mother who was obviously uncomfortable and nervous. Numerous memories of her mother being sick flooded her mind, reminding Mackenzie of all the times she had been there to take care of her mother. She remembered hugging her mother whenever she needed it after her father had left. She recalled the year her mother had a terrible flu. She had brought her water and cough medicine, but she had done more than bring her fluids and medicine. She had cooked her mother soup and spoon fed her the warm noodles and broth. Then, once her mother was fed, she had tucked her into bed and turned up the heat on those cold nights when that stubborn flu threatened jer Mother's health. She had done all of this when she was just a freshman in high school.
With these visions of the past cementing her resolve, Mackenzie knew what she had to do.
Ally watched as her daughter reached forward. She could feel her daughter's hand under her chin, lifting her head slightly up and making her look the girl in the eyes.
"Mom, I've always been there for you and I'm not going to let someone take care of you when I'm perfectly capable of doing what she does. Who took care of you whenever you got sick? Who has always been there for you?" Mackenzie asked before adding, "just give me a chance, mom. I promise that I can handle this."
A lone tear trickled down Allison's eye as she remembered that terrible flu that had almost taken her life, but had also forged such a strong bond between them. She was forced to contemplate just what her daughter was willing to do for her. It didn't seem right, but that was only because she was gauging it based on what was normal. Was it normal for a daughter to be so devoted to their mothers? Possibly, but in this day and age it was rare and she knew that she was lucky to have Mackenzie.
Allison had made up her mind, but she didn't know how she should answer the question. Should she speak to her daughter as her mother or like the baby she was currently dressed as?
"I trust you, Mackenzie." The middle aged mother stated with love in her voice.
She didn't exactly want her daughter to change her, but she did trust her with all of her heart and didn't want to offend her daughter by refusing her offer to help her.

Allison nodded in agreement and started shifting her weight towards the ground as she slowly landed on her knees. She didn't want to sit on her poop covered bottom or to even lay in it. With her mother entertained and distracted, the eighteen year old used her hands to push apart her mother's thighs. McKenzie is quite a unique character and, in all my years of writing, she has been my favorite character to flesh out. She has only ever had her mother since her dad left them and is very devoted to her mom. Yes, she's an average teenager, but she isn't driven by petty aspirations. She knows that family is most important due to her past experiences. Ultimately, It's not that she wanted to change her mother, but that she knew her mother needed her. Because of this, she stepped up and did what no one expected her to do.
