Laid down in 1937 and later commissioned in 1941, the USS Washington was the second and final member of the two-ship North Carolina Class of Fast Battleships built for the United States Navy. She was also the sister-ship of the USS North Carolina and was also involved in numerous battles in the Pacific Ocean.
However, unlike the USS North Carolina, the USS Washington was sold for scrap and fully dismantled in 1961.
My new design of Battleships in the Ships of War collection are built to a 1:1000 scale.
