Typing this from the bathroom. I've been thinking-
🕑 Added 2025-12-22 22:13:15 +0000 UTCabout how youtube has changed over the years. Feels like at any point, regardless of following rules and guidelines, my channel (and others provenly that I've seen recently not just ASMR related) can be taken down or given a strike if the "moderation team" of youtube says so.
It just has me worried for the overall future and potential of this creative venture, because I really don't have a back up? Other than to make another YT channel if it does happen. HOWEVER- what I do think is a silver lining to all this negative thinking, is that my channel doesn't involve any "human" or person as their mascot/brand. I'm just a lil cat.
And as such; while being a small creator + not being a person-person, I could maybe??? get away with what others could not within their own ASMR audios, for the time being. Mainly from the sfx / thumbnails / topic of audio etc.
But who knows, who ever was in charge of putting A.I. into ANY form of moderation to this extent needs to be flattened.
My own crack pot theory that I've been marinating on but couldn't really put to words until now. That's all! Thank you for reading

I like your hypothesis. While the lack of personhood in the thumbnails and icon could protect you, it’s definitely not a guarantee. I know of a fantasy story creator who had a completely SFW sleep aid video taken down for “sexual content”. AI is definitely not a good judge of content! One of the most wholesome roleplay creators that I followed (second to yours) just up and vanished one day. And since they didn’t have a Patreon or other platform, I have no idea what happened. 🥺 If anything happened to your channel (and I deeply hope nothing does), creating another channel is an option. Or using YT description links to redirect to another platform. I know you’d figure something out. And you would have our support to get you through it. 🩵 P.S. Did you sanitize your phone after typing from the bathroom? 😆🦠 And what were the circumstances that required you to type from the bathroom?

honestly i've thought about this a lot too, especially after youtube doubled down on their mistake of banning that creator for putting their email in their desc. it's really unfortunate and i worry for a lot of my favorite creators :( if anything were to happen tho, id follow u wherever u happened to go kitty cat 🫡
