Poll regarding animations

for a long time I wanted to have some feedback from you regarding animations. As you could already see in previous game and also in current one there are simply two types of animations.
1.) 20 fps animations (with recent AI improvements I will change these to 60fps)
2.) 2 images changing using dissolve effect
First type of animations takes much more setting up and rendering time (like 10x more). Plan is to make at least 10 of them each month and add sounds to them. We use both stock and custom made animations.
Question is whether you wouldn't want 10x more short animations (second type) instead.

I like a mix, where you as creator choose the scenes that are the most important and they get the best animations. Some other scenes get shorter animations where the animation really enhances a few scenes. I know that this will require a balancing act between amount of content/time between new releases of the VN. So - some of this may be a bit of trial and error but, for me, I would prefer a better story (more animations and sound) even if development speed means 1 or 2 fewer versions of the VN in a year. Most importantly though - as you do this, please work on taking care of yourself and your family so that this is both work and a joy versus something you start to dislike because it takes so much time from you and your family.
