Thanks for the suggesting it

True, but I still prefer a new 4090 instead a second hand just to have an ease of mind when working with it for long hours. But you definitely made me consider a 4090 if there is a possible alternative. I probably still need to ask around at a PC shop that I used to go and whether they can source a brand new 4090. Still, it probably won't happen right away as I still need to save up a lot of money for this.

TheRexs

correct but still if you get a second-hand 4090 in good condition at a good price it is a good option, the difference in tcores is not that much

D.P

The stock for a 4090 is low to none ever since 5090 launched in my place and the price for it is around a 5090 too. So it would be better if I just get the 5090. But the again, I'm still waiting for the price to lower and the stability issues solved.

TheRexs

Wow, I'm thinking of buying a 3060ti for SD, since I have AMD and it's super tedious with SD, I wouldn't recommend a 5090, better a 4090, for stock and stability issues

Yep, it should, wish you good luck with your new setup!

Ah I see, a H100 though, didn't expect that. Although it is strong, it seems like it's not as fast as I expected. From the benchmark I saw using a 4090, it was under 10 seconds for a multiple generation. But then again, there was no usage of adetailer and loras. Nonetheless, the speed of my work should increase by a large margin if I were to upgrade my setup.

Hybrich

It's a bit of a secret but thanks to my job I can get my hands on an H100, having close to 4000 TOPS it should be very fast, but with my configuration (WaiNSFW 832x1216 scaled by 1.5, with 4-5 active LORAs) every image takes around 12-13 seconds, up to 23~ when including Adetailer. The performance is a bit inconsistent too, but I guess that's to be expected, since the supported Torch versions for A1111 are not compatible with the GPU architecture, so I had to mess around a bit to get it to work in the first place.

Oh bueno, esperemos que bajen esos precios pronto para que puedas trabajar con más comodidad.

D.P

And for reference, what GPU do you use and how much time needed to generate an image?

D.P

But I saw a benchmark of stable diffusion using 4090 and the speed per generation is much faster than my current one and a 4090 has only half the AI TOPS of 5090.

D.P

And of course, the VRAM of 5090 with 32 GB definitely helps a lot in generating too. My PC can't handle a FLUX model as it will seriously lag up to the point of a blue screen. Though, it is just an estimate I calculated with ChatGPT so the actual time needed might be different than what I expected.

D.P

Well I was comparing the AI TOPS of 3060 to the 5090. For the 3060 that I am using, it has only 100ish AI TOPS while for the 5090 it has 3000 more.

Hybrich

That new PC sounds like a monster, sheesh. One question, how do you estimate the time to generate images with the new GPU? Is it just from comparing the performance of the 3060 against the 5090? I use a pretty beefy GPU myself, but I get longer gen times than one would expect when comparing to a lower end GPU.
