Things to note:
- As always, this alpha build is a very rough draft and a skeletal outline of the story
- It passed quicktest so there shouldn't be too many glaring bugs
- In order to read the maximum amount of content at the moment, you’ll have to change your education to Circle-trained. Not being a Circle-trained Mage is pretty much identical to what’s there, except the characters don’t react to you as if they know you already, but I just haven’t gotten around to writing that content yet, so here we are. I’ve put an option at the beginning of Chapter 3 to change your education to Circle Mage in case you want to read this content now. If you’re already one, great! This doesn’t mean anything for you. If you are not one, I strongly recommend that you save your game before switching, so you can go back and resume that playthrough as a non-Circle Mage whenever I add the remaining paths.
- POTENTIALLY TRIGGERING LINE: MENTION OF GROPING. When meeting Ayla, there is a very brief line if you ask her why she was fighting in the bar where she mentions that a drunken stranger [[touched her rear end without her consent]], prompting her to smash a glass over his head. If this is in any way something you do not want to read, I completely understand!
We've broken 206,000 words with this update! 😱 That puts us at right around the word count for The Eagle's Heir, Champion of the Gods, the first Lost Heir of Daria, and a few more! I half-died trying to push this content out in the last two nights, but I really wanted to present it to you before work consumed me and spit me back out like a mangled chew toy... That was super fckin long but I was rambling sorry! 😂 I'm daydreaming super hard lately about this story and my MC.

I was just ruminating about the decision to keep your secrets or tell the others about your past. I definitely appreciate it will stay as a yes or no on telling them, but I feel like just having those 2 choices doesn't fit all characters and their playthroughs. I.e. the response of keeping your secrets felt a bit cold to the others, while I was playing a guilt ridden but honest character. Maybe have two versions of each choice? For example, for not telling it could be the original option and then something like "I want to tell them, but I'm just not ready". Vice versa, for telling them it could be the original option and then "I can tell them about the dreams and the words, but I'm not ready to tell them about my past". I don't know, but I think it just encompasses more kinds of characters and players- but I also know it means it adds another layer of complexity that you may not need/want 😂 Either way though, it's the first time I'm playing a game where I WANT my character to make the "selfish" choices.

You will get a second chance to tell them as a group sometime down the road - but they might not be so understanding that time because you'll have kept it a secret for so long! As for what's happening in dreamland, I'll keep quiet on that for now... :)

Love love love it! Question though! Will we get another chance to tell the others (or in this case with what's happening in dreamland) about our Words of Power and our past? More specifically, can we tell Blade after this whole dream demon debacle? 👀
