A Quick Update
🕑 Added 2024-07-14 23:35:54 +0000 UTCGood evening, dear Patrons. It's been a little while since my last check-in: I'm afraid I've been terribly busy lately, and am only now finding a bit of time to say hello.
The next video is coming together nicely, but the script is a bit longer than anticipated. The video is on Pokemon Showdown, and it'll be a fun video, though I fear it may also be a bit dense at times.
I'm noticing as I write the script though that I've basically said all I have to say concerning intellectual property law and video games now: that we're starting to revisit the same points over and over, just applying them to different circumstances.
What do you think then, I wonder? How do you feel about the legal content? Is it something you prefer, or do you prefer the non-legal videos?

When you covered legal issues in your past videos, you brought more than just how IP law works. You're also presenting a case in as neutral a way as possible, and presenting relevant examples and research to shed light on what's really going on. For example, consider when you talked about Nintendo's tournament guidelines. I've watched your other videos and learned about IP law, but I still have no idea whether those terms are good or not, and no idea their implications. I have no idea what typical terms look like, or what unusual thing might have been slipped-in. So even if from your perspective you're retreading the same ground, for me seeing how it applies in another context is very new. I really like the legal videos! Also they're probably the most enticing ones to click on; there isn't anyone else I know of providing this kind of legal insight into game news.

i like your takes of legal and cultural concepts in your content, i like how you explain it in layman's terms but you also trust your audience to have enough media literacy to do their own research into the matter. i can't wait for your next work! Also, do you have any plans on making a Discord community server, whether it be for Patrons or in general?
