Mini-Update: Break in the Q&A!

So a little quick update on how things are going... As I mentioned in my last alpha build post, I've suddenly and unexpectedly resumed work on my second novel, and in roughly 5 weeks, I've completed 50,000 words on it! 😱 This is extremely fast, especially for me, the slow plotter/plodder! Coupled with the 17,000 words for last month's game update, 7,000 words for Prihine's short story, about 100,000 words of code reviewed for the Twine conversion of Chapter 7, and all the other stuff I juggle throughout the month (Tumblr asks, Patreon stuff, and things on the author side of my career--I just got two more blurb requests and two speaking engagements for later in the year!), PLUS stuff for the wedding coming up, PLUS the usual everyday life stuff (cooking, cleaning, appointments, shopping, socializing, exercising, trying to sleep better!)...
I'm spinning a lot of plates right now, lol.
I have to admit, it's all been very fun, but I also feel myself feeling dangerously close to burnout! 🥲 I wish I had an endless supply of energy and time (don't we all...), but in the spirit of prudence and longevity, I'm deciding to take a break from the Q&A this month, and probably next month, too! I want to give it a little time so that I can dive back into answering your excellent questions with my usual zeal, and if I had to put a pause on any one thing, I figure the Q&A is the most expendable bit: I still answer questions on Tumblr where I can, after all, and the Q&A was always meant to be a optional "bonus," anyway, something we only unlocked as a goal when we hit 100 Patrons back in 2019 (back when "goals" were still a thing on Patreon). So hopefully it won't be missed too sorely before I'm ready to resume again! I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I promise it's the best thing for both of us, because in the future, I won't be trying to answer questions like this lol:

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience as I chase down my muses for a bit! 🥹🙏 But it's always such a pleasure interacting with you all and seeing everyone's posts on Tumblr and Discord, so I hope you'll continue saving up any burning questions for the future! Taking care of yourself is infinity more important than the Q&A. Take all the time you need. And I please don't feel guilty if you find you need to cut back on other things too. <3

Riding that wave and also taking care of your needs, we love an Uber-Motivated Energy Conserving Queen! 🩵 agreed, it also gives folks time to think of questions and read over any previous QnA’s (or re read… many times… like in in some of our cases.. not naming names but 🙋🏼♀️ lol) Get some rest,let yourself breathe and honestly… treat yourself too, you deserve it! Spa day? Shopping? I know you’re a cooking girlie like me and Le Creuset is having an end of summer sale right now…at least maybe just to window shop/put on the wedding registry right??? 👀👀(I’m eyeballing the Sauteuse in the colors Rhône and Chambray.. 👀)
