Notes from the Outside (Part 1)

A short introduction to this series: I was suddenly struck with the inspiration to write little epistolary/"multimedia" vignettes from various groups connected to the Shepherds, observing the goings-on of the game from its fringes. I thought it would be fun to explore what people like members of a fanclub, a tavern keeper, a new recruit, a student at the Mage Circle, a gossip journalist, an Inquisitor, or the Order's HR department would make of the main characters and events that we know so well from our inside vantage point, so that's how this little series sprang into existence! Currently I'm just shooting from the hip and have no idea if things are going to coalesce into an actual larger story going on in the background that will slowly be pieced together, or if these are just fun little explorations and windows into the minds of characters we never get to see throughout the game--but whose activities often keeps everyday life for the Shepherds humming--so I guess we'll just have to go along for the ride and see! I didn't have time to make it as truly 'multimedia' in visual presentation as I would have liked, but so it goes when the holidays and the end of the year loom nigh. This does mean that I'll be putting Prihine's story on hold for now (I'm just feeling burnt out on that format at the moment), but that doesn't mean I won't loop around to finish it sometime soon! PS: The other title I thought for this was "By Their Deeds Observed," but I thought that was too serious for what is a truly silly and somewhat stupid execution LOL--what do you all think? And if you have any other ideas for titles, let me know in the comments!

Oh, my God, I love this series. I'm not kidding. I really really like it. I like the main story of any novel or game, but I also like the stories (side story novels, news, etc.) that see the main story from the perspective of the main character's surrounding people or from the perspective of other local residents who have heard the main story that the main character has experienced, which makes me happy. In fact, other than this, the terminology you've created in the game, the tumblers, and the writings that others ask and answer about Patreon, such as local characteristics and culture, also make me happy throughout the whole time. I'm so excited that I don't know if I wrote it properly according to the grammar so that the translator works well. Just know that I'm very happy. It's late, but happy new year.
