🕑 Added 2024-01-18 12:52:54 +0000 UTCSo I titled this "Jaws" because of my personal interpretation of a song with that name by Sleep Token, my favorite band. I know most interpretations give it a mixed or negative meaning, and it probably has, knowing the lore of the band x) But I found it around 2020 and thought of it in a different way back then. In many parts of the lyrics, I could see it matching some parts of the story of these two, and it definitely sounded "sexy" to me (like many of their songs xD)
That song along with "Drag Me Under" inspired the drawing below back then (yes, this is the drawing I made while crying, so, it's kinda important to me)
To me, both songs express an intense desire to be loved/consumed by a partner's love (In "Don't wake me up...", you may remember Avelyn saying" I want to intensely feel your warmth, I want to be consumed by the fire, come undone between your arms and fall down at your feet", because she feels that way) and admiration of the other's beauty. I don't want to spoil you too much by explaining how I interpret the lyrics in Jaws to fit their story, but yeah xDD Maybe a couple of lines don't fit at all, but the rest do in my head.
Just wanted to share that with you. Maybe I got it completely wrong and my interpretation is just the lyrics being twisted to fit the idea I have of these two, but I like it and it's *my personal* interpretation, so I think it causes no harm x) And in the end inspired me to draw and write, so, I guess it's not bad x)

Thank you, Lexi!! <3 I hope the intimate drawings I'll continue doing continue giving those good feelings! Sometimes I'm a bit unsure if they are fine x) But I'm glad so far they seem to be liked!

Your personal interpretation is valid and as long as it inspires you it is totally fine and you don't need to answer to anyone :=) The urge to be desired and loved is something fundamental in life and yet your art moves my feelings into a new level. Looking at those two in their intimate scenes makes me feel hot and I am just happy for them.

Turns out mobile doesn't do shift+enter, so: as for your art, the way your art portrays desire and the desire to be desired has always been palpable. The mutual desire is visible on their faces here and on the older piece it was blended with fear and hesitance that is now gone... even when depicting their sexuality, you manage to make their emotions and growth central!
