TAG Chapter 2 Progress: Update #27
🕑 Added 2022-09-18 15:38:05 +0000 UTCI'm sooo close! Moving pretty fast right now, but paying extra attention to quality, and also hit a few snags that slowed me down. Made 4 renders that included the MC before I realized that mysteriously several of skin texture settings had zeroed out! Not sure what happened, and it was hard to catch because he was either only visible through glass, or in reduced lighting. So I had to fix and re-render those. Also, almost every time I do stills in a gym it's a pain, because the light geometry that usually works best makes the shape of the light (disc) appear as a black shadow in the mirror reflections, and since half the wall surfaces are floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and what's left in this case is reflective glass, there's no way around them showing up! Sort of like vampires - you can't see them except in a reflection. So after each render I have to go through and change the geometry of those lights and re-render all the areas where the black discs appear and then paste them in in Photoshop. Seamless - you can't even tell I did it, but it's a pain, and slows the process down.
I'll get a few renders in today, in between mowing my 5 acres (again - ugh!) and probably finish up Monday or at latest Tuesday. LAST scene, remember? But then I've got a LOT of animation to do... and frankly I'm not sure how much juicy stuff I'll have to provide you during that phase and the work after, which is coding and sound/music. I can't exactly post the animations (except possible one or two max) since that lets the cat out of the bag too soon. I'm happy to converse with any of you, but everyone's lips except mine have been almost completely sealed so far, so I have no idea what you're thinking. Any ideas, I'm all ears...

They don't advance the plot really, or not all that much. They help flesh out scenes and are there for their, um, sexual value. But I don't want to release multiple versions of it, and it's not like once the still images are done (rendering the last one now) I'm done except for the animation. There's music and sound effects, and programming the whole thing in Ren'Py.

Do the animations advance the plot? If not, I'll be happy to see the still first, and then read it again with all the animations.

Oh yeah I see. Shawna was the first story where I started with a full origin/backstory like that, but it's a hell of a turn-on for me too! I tend to be uninterested in stories about magic potions and spells that suddenly turn a normal woman into an amazon. There has to be some effort on the part of the woman to become strong and muscular. TAG kind of walks that line, since they get a boost epigenetically through no effort of their own, but I'm viewing it as device that *encourages* women to build strength and muscle - like if all of a sudden you could build muscle TWICE as easily as before you'd be much more likely to hit the gym often. And Olivia of course is just a beast - she'd be much stronger than an average, untrained man even without the Change because she's driven to over-achieve just as a part of her personality.

I understand. The mother/son aspect isn’t really what does it for me either. But my favorite is when a woman like shawna decides to go from average and turn herself into an alpha. Anyways looking forward to the finished product!

I haven't honestly. The mother/son dynamic isn't something I'm really into. But I get that a lot of muscular female fans are. Off-topic questions are no problem at all - I welcome them.
