Considering that order 66 is a known contingency in the case of the jedi betraying the republic, it will seem natural that the traitoros jedi called help from the evil seppies. Perfect propaganda. On the other hand CiF will have something like heroically saving the jedi while protecting them from the traitoros republic

Quentin Johnson

It would be interesting, to say the least, if Obi-Wan’s taken out instead . . .

Jan Ullrich

I think rendili will be glassed by the republic

Duke of Coffee

Hmmm can't wait for next week for a new chapter detailing the custerfuck of Rendili.

FuschiaKnight

I really do hope that Gallia has an eye on Akaris (though she may leak it unintentionally), because if Gallia and Plo Koon’s conspiracy gets picked off early, the Republic civil war that the CIS is gonna *need* might well be derailed or at least fizzle without escalating sufficiently. The high council as a whole probably isn’t as willing to use Jedi Intelligence’s network of contacts and influence to turn all those sectors that Gallia listed into a rival claimant to the Coruscant government, so thus far it’s in only the hands of Gallia’s clique within the temple. Plo Koon knows and is going elsewhere, assuming that he conducts the Battle of Rendili differently from canon because he’s no longer trying to shore up the strength of the central government, but he isn’t a political operator like Gallia is.

There was that shadow fleet of 30+ of Rain's interned ships that escaped Commenor under unknown command, presumably PRIESTESS. They will either be the Jedi's savior, as that is basically the hub of PRIESTESS, or they will reinforce Calli at Rendili.

Vital

I wonder how Grievous will factor in on this whole mess, he has been missing with a big fleet and a big ass superweapon for god knows how long for now, Dooku surely has plans for him. And if he doesn't or is... unavailable, then Grievous has his own bone to pick with the Jedi. Would be really funny for him to end up as a Palpie loyalist in a Galactic Civil War because of Order 66.

Quentin Johnson

Wow it looks like three entire fleets are trying to hold off the ‘Tombmaker’ from advancing. While this is going on, I wonder where’s Admiral Trench at? Last time we saw him, he had his fleet, his flagship the Malevolence, and there was an order for another Subjugator class heavy cruiser being built right? Even if the new ship isn’t built yet, Trench’s fleet probably could advance towards the core quite a bit while the other Republic fleets are occupied 🤔

Michael K

Holy shit, I forgot about them! One hell of a cocked Chekhov's gun right there!

Brioche

As someone else mentioned, I really hope we get a scene where the clones attack the temple and battle droids show up to defend it. Would be an awesome scene (and hilarious lol)

N0T0B0K

That would make people very suspicious of the Jedi.

Bishop7053

Having some ships in the deep core ready to exfil jedi would definitely confuse people. I can just imagine clones attacking the temple and droids drop in to save them. Only the war then has jedi helping seppies and the republic become the evil ones lol. Also rendili is gonna be brutal

Man-O'-War

She still has that data card that calls in the twins or something right

Michael K

While I'm looking forward to the Battle of Rendili, I'm positively dreading the fallout from the reveal of Barriss as a spy. Iskat will undoubtedly leak the information to Palpatine, who would then know to eliminate Adi Gallia. So I'm now super anxious to see whether she'll get to send off her broadcast first or not, as well as whether Barriss will survive the fallout.

Marcin

I think that the Jedi will make a "blunder" which will end in Honors fleet getting gutted... which will cripple Palpies forces in space for time. Then the Jedi will start the boogaloo... and Palpie will do order 66. It will look HILARIOUS when clones will attack the Temple and separatist battle droids show up to defend it :D

Confused

Ah a climatic battle will happen at Rendalli can’t wait to see how that plays out.

Arthrus

I think the Battle of Rendili will most likely come down to the wire and be determined by more than just simple ship numbers, as on paper both the CIS and Republic both possess around 700 ships each. One key factor that I think will probably swing things in Rain and Calli's favor is that Rain will have the element of surprise. The Republic expect only the 19th Mobile Fleet, the Bulwark Fleet, and the Rendili Home Fleet to be present on the CIS side of the battle. Rain appearing unexpectedly and from a flanking position will throw their entire plans out the window as they now have to shift their forces to deal with that. For Rain, that kind of a fight is his bread and butter, in a sense, as he can slowly use his more well drilled mobile elements to wreak havoc. Something of an unknown X-Factor for the battle will be the coordination between all the disparate fleet groups. While Calli and Rain will likely have synergy on the battlefield, Admiral Duo Ningo and the Rendili Home Fleet will likely not be practiced at all in following their tempo and might not entire cede overall command to either Calli or Rain, making any overall battle plan likely ad hoc. Similarly, for the Republic, while Plo Koon and Obi-Wan will likely get along, with Obi-Wan likely deferring to Plo Koon, Admiral Salima on the other hand clearly doesn't hold the Jedi in high regard. If Admiral Salima and her officers act out of concert with the rest of the Jedi, that might be enough to prevent something like Battle Meditation from swaying things, especially if there is no clear supreme commander assigned for the Republic forces. With how things are laid out, it looks like the Battle of Rendili might end up becoming a mixture of individual battles between different fleets rather than a giant coordinated fleet action. The only other thing that might shift the balance of the battle one way or the other are the Rendili orbital defenses, as an ancient Core World like Rendili is bound to have some other defenses to protect them, and possibly further shenanigans from the Givin contingent of Rain's fleet as their ability to math out orbital mechanics might make them an unpredictable Wild Card, especially as no one is expecting them or has fought them thus far in this battle. Looking forward to seeing how this turns outs.

Aaron V.

Plo Koon has now raised many death flags. May the force be with him. (Kill a different Jedi plux)

SUP Dood

My prediction is that Plo Koon will die indirectly via a sith plot at the battle of Rendili resulting in a draw or a pyrrhic victory for the Confederacy. With the elimination of Plo Koon the efforts to deal with the chancellor will be seriously crippled.

Rune Shadow

Things are about to get interesting. You've done a good job in building up a situation where I can't predict the likely outcome. You definitely don't play favorites with your characters and everyone has an equal chance for their plan to fail. I'm really nervous that we haven't heard anything out of Palpatine in a while, there's no way he's been sitting back doing nothing while everything's happening.

Aeden Emrys

The stage is being set! And I can't wait to see how Rendili plays out! Thanks for the great story so far! Looking forward to reading much more!

Mrsean22

Oh this is gonna be a battle for the ages. If Plo Koon wasn't gonna be there I'd be more confident the CIS would win but sadly Plo Koon is gonna be there. Though how is this gonna effect the deal just made or if it has any effect at all. Are still see the Jedi not being viewed well even when it's Obi-Wan one of the better military Jedi. Though Plo Koon seems to be the exception. But yeah this battle is gonna be important. CIS wins means they can escape and break the Republic. Republic wins and the CIS push is over to only be defensive war.

Trailblazer

Well, this is going to be very awkward for Rain and Plo Koon. Hopefully none of them would batter each other too badly though Honor can go. Perhaps Rain could even recruit Obi-Wan with the help of Plo Koon?

Man-O'-War

Oh man this chapter was so good

Armo

Rendil is going to be an absolute bloodbath. 700 vs 700, with the GAR having the qualitative advantage and Plo Koon? Can't wait to see what Calli and Rain will do to win that one.

Cesar gonzalez

The battle of rendili is gonna be crazy.

TuscanKB

Oh damn, Rendili is going to be a bloodbath, I can’t wait!

Nice
