Timo

Are you still editing the Patreon post, or why do you not just set the timer for release on all platforms for the same time?

Mirrthful

I think the Patreon chapters all come out within a day of normal postings, if not hours. If there isn't a chapter for the week, I'll notify yall regardless and make up for it with an extra. But yeah I agree it can be frustrating. I'll try to adjust so that all postings are released closer to each other across platforms.

Timo

Hi Mirrthfully, would you please adjust posting times for Patreon, so that it is the same time as others? Makes me sad not finding a new chapter here, when seeing one somewhere else :( Would be highly appreciated :)

Well, about the only reason I could say Rain isn't in a complete bind is because of his now superior intelligence network. Both the hacked Republic comms and whatever the Givin can provide. Otherwise, everything from the damage his fleet took to Cali jumping the gun and alerting Grant as to what was up is against him.

I’m just glad scout lived, she’s currently my favorite side character, and I’m worried her lack of a lot of “plot armor” will eventually do her in.

PearsMan

I wish he sent those ship breachers in with commandos to clean up the ships he disabled. Heck if they succeeded they could have had republic ships for a bit too! We saw seps send in kill crews onto enemy ships a couple of times in the show. Maybe they didn’t have it this time?

Voligne

We are outnumbered four to one! Ah. Then it is an even fight.

Flash Red

So I’m reading the comments and some people are calling this a costly victory or a strategic loss. I disagree, I would call this-in Total War games terms-a “heroic victory” and a tactical setback. The fact that Rain was even able to pull off a victory AT ALL in this situation would leave many military scholars dumbstruck. Remember what hard factors he was dealing with: 1. Outnumbered 2. Surrounded 3. Outclassed (in fleet strength) 4. Cut off from reinforcements 5. Reluctant allies (Givin) 6. Your president(Dooku) wants you dead and is fetching a secret fleet to end you. 7. Your enemies are using cheat codes (the Force) If it were any other separatist officer in this situation they would be dead thrice over.

Jan Ullrich

To be honest I lost track of the scale of his losses first a group splinters of has a battle and he has a couple of battles. So something like status report might be great just to get an idea of the scale of the allied and enemies kia

Jarrik32

Bonteri: Where the hell are my reinforcements! For the love of the force tell me I'm not being sold out. AGAIN. Givin: Here's Johnny!!!

Straven

Great battle, thank you for the chapter.

Marcin

Again Jedi bullshit is throwing a wrench into his Plans...

Swinter

Someone surrendered! Amazing. I had been waiting for that. I was surprised at how many got blown to bits without the ships surrendering, so this was a very nice change, haha.

Asharzal

I would classify the Battle of Yag'Dhul as a pyrrhic victory for the Confederacy. And all of those small sub-states in the Republic like the Tapani Federation are of course going to look after their own interests. However I am now looking forward to what the Mistryl managed to accomplish with the Storm Fleet.

SusshiRoll

Rain is really laced with incompetent allies isn't he. Not talking about those under his command.

Mad Max

We are. Read the last lines of Scout's POV.

TyrTheFallen

I just hope we are done with Rees Alrix bonfire.

Man, Mechis III and Thyferra will now be reinforced and raise their interdiction arrays which block any attempt to penetrate deeper into the core. Hopefully a few talented Givin astrogators will volunteer for Rain's fleet and chart out some temporary routes into the core away from the main hyperroutes like Ta'an did. That's the only way I see forward unless Rain wants a repeat of Yag'Dhul at either Mechis III or Thyferra

Mad Max

For all that Rain won a tactical victory, I feel it's a strategic stalemate. Out of 700 ships, the losses of the combined fleets seem to be around 300, and centeres around the lighter tonnage at that, with only Swift Justice suffering complete loss. Out of 300 of Open Circle, 158, plus whatever of the 50 Venators with Anakin survive, are still operational. Grant has atleast 150 still in working order. Rain won, but at the cost of half his fleet, which granted can be restored to operational efficiency, but at the cost of time. And in return, both enemy fleets still have significant fighting force left over, are more experienced with Rain's tactics, and now are forewarned and can block the approach into the core worlds. This is a strategic defeat for Rain.

Confused

So Rain won I suppose even though he took some of his worse losses yet. Still the way is open for him now to strike into the core wonder where he’ll go next then.

SureRuseUser

There are a few typos of Scout being referred to as he/himself.

PandaV4

He has the auxiliary repair fleet so its possible he could make a decent chunk of the disabled ships usable again.

Quasi-Lesbian Ghost Killer

So on the one hand, this is a major win for the CIS. The 20th Army is leaving the 2nd Army strung out to die in favor of protecting their regional interests, the first giant crack forming in the Republic itself, and the break-up of the Republic is vital and necessary for the Separatists to have any kind of victory in the end. On the other hand, Rain has to go through the 20th Army's regional interests to get any deeper into the Core, so he himself is not having a good day. Meanwhile, "let's regroup at the Llon Nebula" said Yularen, flying away from the Core and not expecting Grant to slam the door behind him. The Open Circle will probably get stuck in trying to help the 2nd Army survive Ambigene, which will buy Rain the time he needs for repairs.

Mrsean22

Well that was a fine victory for Rain but Scout and Yularen made it costly. Question now becomes how does Rain get to the Core if the Republic is preparing for him?If nothing else Rain needs more ships because he lost a lot to pull off this victory.

twentytoo

God damn politics!

Stav Tri

Eeeyyyy, tyftc. Also, damnit, the one head of the hydra did orders without rain commanding them to. While I'm peeved, the admirals did use their cards as well as they could, but if they knew the stationary focus of the Republic forces, they could have harassed in a more prolonged effort to buy more time for rain to arrive and have a simultaneous upper and lower strike on the stationary battle cruisers. If there's one thing rain has to drill into the heads of his battle hydras is, if it seems odd and unusual from the tactics of a known foe, harass and await for further orders from the battle hydra. Each head can tee up the rest, but only in supervision of the battle hydra (of course this is just me hyping up rain's capabilities and my own personal opinion)

Trailblazer

Yularen's time to shine has finally arrived, and it was glorious. Scout still has a lot to learn, but I have an inkling that she would turn out to be a great admiral. And lol at the implication that Yularen is so OP the plot nerfed him by making Anakin his colleague.

John Doe

You know. It's starting to feel like Bonteri is a distraction so that the fleet can be the one doing the main objective.
