Bernhalt

A few spelling mistakes etc I noticed: The gunship opens its doors to vacuum twice on approach. I think you might have meant it to be the slits opening and then later the full door but it seems like it depressurizes both times. -“Standby for depressurisation!” The LAATs hatch slits opened up, exposing the bay to the cold void of space, and suffocating, terrifying silence flooded into the crew bay. -The gunship slowed, the side hatches slammed open, exposing the cabin to the cold void of space. Ahsoka felt her breath hitch as the vacuum tugged at her... In one of the lines commander droids should be commando droids -angling her head up to see a squad of commander droids descending from the superstructure above The only other thing is that the selfless seems to arrives to hit the frigate immediately but theres a callout just above it saying “Fifteen minutes tops!”, was that maybe meant to be 15 seconds? Thanks for the chapter, looking forward to the next one as always.

THE ONE ABOVE ALL THE LIVING TRIBUNAL

Is more foolish to let people on the dark at this moment when they could do something like inform palpatine cus "he is a good guy and trying to stop the war"

Ewout

Saying that there is a conspiracy is already hard enough to believe, saying that they've been fighting this entire war for the sith, especially in front of a padawan shocked by the sheer amount of death she's feeling is foolish.

Ewout

I actually wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Jedi flee to the ships of Admiral Trench. Safer in there that with the clones.

windoverwaves

Which, is, entirety consistent with the portrayal of the Jedi in canon - obviously the outer rim can't have any legitimate grievances, the Republic is the force for good in the galaxy, after all, how could anyone have enough problems with it that they're willing to fight the Republic? No, obviously they're all misguided and deceived by the big bad sith.

Antic Master

“Roti” means “bread” in Indonesian, so a ship called the “Bread Mundi” gives me some funny images XD.

Hailhound

I was struck that Obi-wan thinks the war will end when Dooku is killed. As if the separatists are only fighting because he told them to, not because they have any legitimate grievances

Hailhound

As readers we know all the reasons for the coup against Palpatine and why it is the right move for the longevity of the republic. But I still felt uncomfortable hearing them talking about a serious coup in such clear terms

will shumway

He knows about order 66, which is effectively the same thing. The inhibitor chips were more of a clone wars TV show add on to explain why characters they gave a lot of depth to would betray their Jedi, before the show it was simply that the clones were made to follow orders to the letter with the chancellor being the commander in chief

Jarrik32

Well this is going to be a 'fun' situation for Ahsoka to deal with, as this? This is treason pure and simple. Sure it is a desperation tactic used only in last resort after it has become blindingly obvious their is no other way to end the war. But Ahsoka doesn't know that. Especially as about 75% of their proof is well beyond classified. All she has is her trusted mentor taking her aside to a quiet area and telling her he and others like him are planning a coup against the legally elected head of government in co-operation with enemies of the state. And the coup? It's going to go off in a matter of days. Talk about being tossed in the deep end for the young Padawan.

Thanks for the chapter!

Duke of Coffee

The Jedi in this army not trusting Admiral Trench, hopefully they will realize it is not a trap. Anyway Palpatine will definitely activate 66 to save his skin.

will shumway

I could see that, though unless he tells others it'll be solely up to trench to save the open circle fleet Jedi

Kevin Neely

I think Kota knows from trench who learned from rain.

THE ONE ABOVE ALL THE LIVING TRIBUNAL

Why would plo not inform obi-wan that palpatine is the sith lord if he is already revealing parts of the conspiracy?

will shumway

At this point I'm surprised Rain hasn't told any Jedi about order 66. I see no reason why he would omit that information when he is also working with the Jedi to remove Palpatine from power. It seems more and more likely that he will use order 66 if a coup attempt occurs and Rain knows he is fomenting one.

BigBillyWilly

"I'm starting to wish Anakin hadn't saved me from that nest of Gundarks..." - Obi-Wan probably.

Ewout

Oh yeah! I almost forgot that Luminara is a Coucil Member! That is absolutely HUGE. (Great job on the revised chapter btw, I make it a thing to read every chapter on RR as well, and it was WAY better. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one

elsicava

Hmm... I think you're right, that is an oversight. Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into fixing that.

KnightofTempest

Wait, doesn't Plo know that Sidious is the Chancellor? I could have sworn Rain told him. Seems weird to trust Obi-Wan with this much and leave that part out, almost like Plo wants him to disobey orders, or more to the point, Ahsoka to disobey orders.

elsicava

If he gets Luminara in his camp itll definitely open up a bunch more options in the final battle!

Von Harley

I'm not expecting rain to actually tell anyone about it, it definitely isn't beleivable. Moreso I would be interested in what thoughts if any Rain has on order 66 especially since he has begun allying with certain Jedi in order to end the war.

elsicava

I'm planning on writing a bunch of Epilogue chapters (around 5) from basically every facet of the story, with Rain as the last/final POV. Mina will definitely be included.

Ewout

Ah yes, of course, order 66. The most believable thing in the universe. I would immidiatly trust an enemy commander as well when he says all my troops are going to kill me... Besides, even if that happens, the revolution is set in stone. When palps declares order 66, the surviving Jedi have no choice but to immidiatly go for his head, and the rebellious systems won't blame them. Palpatine hasn't lost, not even slightly, but his coveted victory is falling out of his hands with the minute

Ewout

Damn, I knew this was the last arc, but secretly I hoped for more. Can you at least promise us one Mina POV? I've been wanting one for like 30 chapters now, and it would be cool to see the seps political side at least once more before the end.

Ewout

That tip off is not going to happen. They're fighting on completely separate fronts. What might happen instead is that Anakin refuses to end the war himself.

elsicava

It's mostly people seeing complexity where there isn't. For example this chapter the speculation about what ObiWan and Ahsoka's gonna do-- Maybe its because this story fostered that kind of deeper analysis from the start-and I welcome it-but sometimes there just isn't anything deeper. Especially now, we're in the home stretch already, and the ending (in my mind) is railroaded and rock solid. There's nothing left that can shake the boat per se. The chapters leading to the end are now mostly about tying up loose ends, rather than creating new ones. (Though I admit the way the chapter ends appears to be starting another plot thread)

Mrsean22

Ahsoka did pretty well doing her part. Not surprising that Ahsoka preference is doing ground battles. Let's her use the skills she's good at while being a good commander. And yeah Ahsoka has only really known war since leaving the Temple like all the new Padawans and Knights. Plo Koon wanting to make sure the way is open to Serenno like Trench is saying. Obi-Wan and Ahsoka are shocked but I think they will go along with this. Both do want the war to end. Though don't believe they know Palpatine is the Sith like Plo Koon does.

Von Harley

Maybe not as directly yea. I could see a scenerio where she tells scout who then tells anikin being far more likely

Tsorov

Normally I would agree with you, that is a ar too important secret not to share with "Sky guy". But you have forgotten that in this universe this connection doesn't exist. Ashoka never was Anakins Padawan, always Obi Wans. And, even in Canon she had a pretty good relationship with Master Plo Koon, I think because he was the one wuo brought her to the Jedi Order. So I don't think this will happen here.

Asharzal

I have a feeling that Ahsoka may tip off Anakin. Who will immediately go running to Palpatine...

Mad Max

The number of balls in the air are becoming a problem. The last few chapters have upper the stakes, but its starting to feel like GRRM's complexity for complexity's sake.

Mad Max

Soon.

Kaywye

Yeah. It feels like telling Obi-Wan (and by extension Ahsoka) is going to be a mistake that is going to be hard to correct.

NostalgicTime

I doubt it'll be as easy as Plo Koon says.

Von Harley

Everything's in motion now! Order 66 is really going to throw everything into chaos as soon as that gets triggered. Feels weird that Rain hasn't appeared to have been thinking of it yet, it would be cool to get an idea if he is formulating a kind of contingency for when that happens.

SuperbOwl67

Always great to see Ahsoka again. That description of their insertion reminded of the gunship assault on Mandalore in S7 of Clone Wars. I wonder how the other Jedi will react when they find out that the Battle Hydra intervened with a prototype superweapon to save them at Taris from Grievous’s trap.

Aaron V.

Obi is going to blow it isn't he.

Trailblazer

Now why do I have a feeling that Ahsoka is going to do something foolish with this information?

B R

Alea iacta est.

Deadeyelee

Crikey. This feels bad.
