Ewout

Watch out what you wish for, lest the 3 movies are made by disney

Ewout

I highly doubt that she became on with the force. No way she's trained enough for that. I think Ahoka is either dead or managed to somehow jump away. Barriss died in the fighting, Obi-Wan is one of the surviving masters. I imagine he's going to go to either Anakin or Teta.

Antic Master

This reminds me of a class I took on analysing Modernist literature: the Jedi are no longer shackled by the conventions, taboos, rules or restrictions of the old order. The same way all that made sense and the very culture which was considered the highest form of art and prestige has now been dashed and shattered into oblivion, the new generation are liberated to pursue what they want, however they want without fear of prior chains restraining them. In other words, the Jedi’s chains are now broken.

FunnyHats

I believe Ahsoka became one with the force and Barriss stayed with the last stand on the Jedi temple.

PandaV4

Yeah, as long as Sidious is alive he will do everything he can to hunt down all surviving jedi. I see only one valid choice for most of the Jedi. Join a faction opposing Sidious.

Dav

Not sure either, but I haven't been playing that close of attention. I remember that in beginning MC said that he had seen sequel movies, so it might not. Though idk if OP has taken stuff from legends as well.

TheLostGolem

Are we in that time line? I personally like that time line more but at the same time, I haven't seen anything that hints at whether we are in the disney time line or not.

Kaywye

Depends on what you are looking for in life. If you are a Jedi who can place the need to use the force to the side, then it is absolutely possible to settle down and live quietly. Most won't be able to though...so they will give themselves away eventually.

FunnyHats

I enjoy that's it's not a everything is fixed and good forever story. It's a better situation then it would have been. The galaxy has an uncertain future, but life is uncertain.

FunnyHats

Or three movies.

Dav

Personally I'm a fan of Tann, but sadly this story is from MCs perspective, so I suspect things won't end up the way she hopes.

Dav

His advice about settling down was stupid.

Dav

Is it confirmed she's alive?

Dav

This is nice and all, but I fear a fractured galaxy will be easy for Yuuzhan Vong to roll over.

Dav

And what about the chosen one prophecy? Maybe there is still time for him to swoop in and kill off Palpatine.

Dav

So that's why the ending felt slightly rushed?

Bob

Tann turned down the exchange of officers. It’s only regular troops. Probably to help her consolidate power. She doesn’t want Calli back, she doubles Rains effectiveness

EnderScroll

Retiring or taking up a nice cushy job as a naval academy instructor would be perfect fits for him.

Kaiser Chris

I actually like these developments. Even if Tann doesn't seek immortality or is commiting genocides for fun, she's still using the Dark Side casually and this shows the dangers of banal corruption, when you turn to evil in such a mundane fashion that it becomes unnoticable.

Kaiser Chris

There is no way in hell Trench could forcibly subdue Dooku no matter the fancy Cortosis droids. So it likely means whatever plans Trench and Rain got cooked up, Dooku is a willing participant or watcher which is very interesting.

Kaiser Chris

Palps is definitely copying the classic Sith playbook with the Cold War from SWTOR. The Sith Empire never wanted coexistence with the Republic, they were forced to by Vitiate, but the Cold War was convenient for rest and round 2, which is definitely in Palpatine's aims. He's probably banking on the Death Star or some sort of grand plan which allows him to form the Empire in a decade or two.

Daniel Andrews

There are a few plot lines that I’d like to see tied up. Like if barris actually made it off coruscant what’s going on with Asoka or Konobi or skywalker.

Lincoln B.

Still have 4 more epilogue chapters left. So he will probably be in one of those

StarBat

Shit. If. Tammy gets kamino... Her force sensitive army will be in arms reach.

Kaywye

I'm concerned. What is Rain going to do? Retire? He gave good advice to the Jedi...now he's just going to fade into the background of society, and let Tann do her thing? Hmmm. Actually from his perspective, that might not be that bad.

N0T0B0K

All this and I am left wondering, where is Anakin Skywalker? Did I miss him in an earlier chapter?

Straven

I'll admit I've no clue wtf the confederate ruler us thinking with this chapter.

Sean McClain

Thats a good point, though the death star is almost more effective in ship to ship combat since it's a hard target (unless you know the weakness) while the conqueress can be overwhelmed easily. Though I do wonder how the death star would hold up to a hyper velocity mass driver.

M0och

I am really hoping Thrawn makes an appearance in one of these epilogues

Orbnet

This feels like there should be like 2 more books from this story

Orbnet

Wait really?

Mad Max

Serenno had heavy planetary shields. Conqueress overloaded them with one shot, and had a second ready to go immediately. And you get much less warning with Conqueress than with the death star, since Conqueress can fire from long range and have the slug appear before any data about the ship appears planetside.

Mad Max

Not for another two years at least. Author starts their mandatory military service soon.

Ewout

God I hope Trench manages to restore the authority of raxus secundus

Marcin

Yeah well here we have the Saruman vs Sauron debacle... the one who wins will be strong and devoid of doubts :P Lets hope Severence isnt stupid :P

Fred Johnson

Trench has made many comments about maneuvering to force tann to give power back to the Confederate Senate after dooku was killed/captured

MaliMi

I wonder, will there be a sequel?

Duke of Coffee

I wonder if Master Yoda survived and escaped... 3-4 more epilogues left to read... 😞

LockNesTom

That doesn't mean much if she gets him alone (Im not betting on him if she pulls a lightsaber) or sends assasins. If he opposes him I'm downright concerned. She's less political machiavelli, mostly cause she has the political instincts of a gorilla, more Director of Intelligence type.

Mrsean22

Well Palpatine is still alive but his empire is basically never happening. It's more a dictatorship with the Republic name on it. The fact he wants a ceasefire with the CIS speaks of his situation with the break away states he is facing. Though I'm pretty sure Palpatine still wants the entire galaxy so basically lied to Tann. Then we have the Jedis situation or at least a general idea on a few of them. If they want a high position? Then the Restoration Republic is the way to go because they would love giving them high positions because it gives them PR on them being the Rightful Republic. Could just quit but get the feeling a majority are not doing that. Really depends on the individual Jedi wants really. Palpatine is still their enemy so they might still want to fight. Though have no idea how the Jedi at Empress Teta are doing or the Jedi that were with Anakin are doing. Anakin and Scout did have a good amount of Jedi with them.

Peter

Great epilogue but I’m dying to know what happened to Anakin and who he’s allied with now. Also did padme give birth safely?

Sean McClain

Depopulate a planet is not new, a large formations of capture ships with turbo layers constantly firing will wipe out all live in every major city. The extreme velocity asteroid impact could also do that. But a weapon that actually blows up a planet, is a whole other story. You can defend against Conqueress with planetary shields but a death star is pretty much unstoppable unless you blow up the internal reactor.

Puncake1102

Rain is the perfect counter to her, he has the corporate connections, force blankiness, and a dreadnaught busting superweapon

Puncake1102

Didn't Rain have an off-screen bit where he told her about the truth behind the war? I imagine Palpatine's sithiness would have come up then

Puncake1102

Scary part is that the Death Star isn't even that scary anymore, a dreadnaught sized Conqueress would be far more dangerous and would likely be easier to mass produce

Fourhand

All fun, and I will always clap and woot when Rahm Kota gets his vindication. I notice a distinct lack of Obiwan mentions, despite him also being there as a survivor of Serenno, he is not there with Kota (unless I missed him somehow). He is a surviving member of the Council, he is well respected, but most importantly he more than anyone can try to bring Anakin on board with the new jedi, and not Palpatine's Dark New Order. I suspect that he is on a beeline to that task, with Rain's greatest hopes. Somewhat sad he couldn't be confirmed to Kota and Undili, but speed is of great value.

Sean McClain

Remember Rains goals: break the corrupt Republic, ensure not all jedi die, win the war at least for his home planet's future and one more thing. Everything so far has been more or less accomplished. He has one more task and it's a big one: Stop the death star from being made. The alt clone wars is over, alt rogue one has begun.

BigBillyWilly

I could see Trench and Bonteri being approached by concerned politicians, but I doubt either of them would actually try anything. Both seem content that the Confederacy lives, regardless of who's at the helm, their duty was fulfilled.

BigBillyWilly

Thanks for the chapter! Looks like instead of one, it's the birth of two Empires.

Mad Max

She doesn't know that Palps is a Sith here though. Unless Rain tells her.

Monkey.D.Luffy98

Very nice! Now where is Cali and when is Rain freeing her 😂 Also, seems like Palpy has to adjust his plans for his *New Order* a little

Jarrik32

Well this chapter has confirmed a lot of my suspicions from the last chapter. Palpatines glorious masterstroke finally bringing revenge of the Sith down on the Republic has been royally botched leaving him with a thoroughly phyrric 'victory'. The Jedi are scattered but not broken and history is riddled with examples of where that leads. The Republic has been sheared in half and his victory over the restorationists is anything but a certainty, he would never have even considered a cease fire (which is all this is) if his back wasn't to the wall. While even if he wins that war, a second and likely even bloodier second Confederation war looms. If Tann has any sense she'll strike the second Chandrila falls (if it even does) to finish off Palpatines proto-Empire. A stable peace treaty with the rebels would likely hold but she's already been burned by one Sith. No one in their right mind would fall for that trick twice.

LockNesTom

I early on in this series i was a fan of Tann. Now? Now I'm getting concerned, mightily concerned. Shes becoming a problem, maybe even a threat. I half expected this series to end up with Rain as an Imperial Admiral after the Clone Wars, now? I got no idea lol looking forward to it

Asharzal

Prisoner exchange? Well, looks like we're getting Calli back that way. Honestly I kinda want Rain and Calli to take a step back now and if not settle down, than do something close to it. Have a kid or nine.

Puncake1102

Tann’s doing what some could call a pro gamer move, lmao. I wonder how the Chiss Ascendancy would react to hearing their exile/attache officer has taken control of 1/4 the known galaxy

Kriegsdude

Honestly at this point I'm sort of hoping for a coup against Tann, and judging by the amount of people on the Confederacy worrying about it, it probably has enough support to succeed.

Trailblazer

Space Prussia time? Space Prussia time. Well at least the Corpos got screwed out of this state.
