August poll! (3D Sketch Sculpt)

This month it's gonna be a 3D sketch!
These are the characters I'm interested in approaching! They all look challenging for different reasons. I'm aiming for either "chest up" or "hips up", depending on the character.
In general: I feel like all anime characters are pretty challenging, they look so deceivingly simple, but it's tricky to get their faces looking right..! I'm gonna have to think about how to shade these as well, I usually just do flat shading and that works, but some of these characters have gemstones or gold, I'm wondering how I'll approach that.
Nia: Would be the outfit in the big pic but she'd have short hair!! The challenge will be the curly messy hair, painting it, and all the little accessories, I like sculpting but I struggle with modeling, so it would be good practice I think!
Adiane: The clothes will be an interesting challenge, it all depends on the pose..! I hope I can translate the really cool shapes in her design into 3D!
Kusuriuri: Those layers of clothes will be pretty interesting, I find clothing to be very challenging, doing the folds right! The other "challenge" will be the hair, I have an idea of how to do it but I'm not sure how it will work in practice, I look forward to figuring it out, I think painting will be fun, but I will need to do some UV unwrapping, I doubt I can get away with vertex painting as I've been doing before.
Atem: I think the face, the eyes, the hair, and the accessories, (and cape!) are gonna be a challenge and I look forward to figuring out how to approach this!
Bakura: He offers similar challenges to Atem but he's on an easier level. Also he is really cool, I look forward to figuring out his hair, and I'm cautiously optimistic about his millennium ring;; Will be a good modeling practice.

Lime: I had a hard time choosing between Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry from Saber Marionette J, I love them all so much, and adore their designs! But I think Lime is one of the easier ones to do. I don't know how I'll approach that style, I know I'll have to tone down the crazy proportions a bit, it will be fun to figure it out!
I'll attempt to either make or salvage hands from other projects to attach to these quick sculpts, it is so limiting trying to avoid making them haha;; but they are so time consuming!
Next month will be a sketchdumpt again!
(sorry btw, I intended to post this yesterday but I took a bit too long and then struggled with some technical difficulties;;;)

Thank you thank you!! <3 Yeah I also want to put characters that do pose a challenge (With Adiane it would have to do with the pose, but she'd definitely be the easier of the bunch! ) aww <3 I'm glad Lime is getting some love! orz I adore her [well all 3 marionettes] and think she'd be fun to translate to 3D! HAHAH, Yeah 100% agreed about YGO characters. Yeah that's something I was thinking about too! [about pre-2000s anime designs] Just looking at Lime, she doesn't look like she has such a crazy design or anything but as soon as you start thinking "ok, how am I gonna do her top" it starts becoming more complex, then you notice the little details here and there and it starts adding up!
aagh I thought I had sent a reply yesterday, I guess I didn't hit send before the lights went out OTL. But basically I was saying that yeah I feel like I keep putting these really old characters here and there and hope that they are recognized but if not, I just hope their cool designs spark some interest! But I'm really glad you recognized her! [yeah I also haven't watched it since so many years back!...] AND honestly nostalgia also is a huge factor for me haha. Tbh even if she didn't win I am pretty determined to make something with the 3 main marionettes, so win or not, they'll keep coming back I think! As usual, I put in votes for everyone that I feel could pose some kind of challenge (so everyone but Adiane), though I'm also secretly hoping for Lime. I feel like nearly any major Yu-Gi-Oh character is bound to have challenging hair, but some of these characters also have a lot going on in their clothing. It's interesting to think of how many hand-drawn characters from pre-2000s Anime has overly stylized clothing that becomes a pain to model in 3D.

I did a double-take when I saw Lime on there, it's been...a good while since I've watched Saber Marionette J. I hope she wins just for the nostalgia value. ^^
