Excellent chapter, I mean talk about taking "kick the dog" to another level 😅 I can't remember many more fitting instances, where a writer managed to make a character so much more interesting from a literary perspective, and at the same time so utterly irredeemable from a sympathy/ethical perspective in a single move, than when she started torturing that animal. Also her voicing concern that roka looked down on her, only to have her actions to try and correct that be so despicable to immediately make the reader look down on her is just a beautiful spin of irony. Chapeau 😅

Great chapter! I love how you've managed to show this "darker" side of the healer that was previously only mentioned in the descriptions. I also wonder how this event will influence relationship between healer and Greg/Roka, now that proverbial cat is out of the bag (even tho she suspected him being not fully open with her).
