Here is Book Two, Chapter Eighteen.
I'm two days late with this, and I'm sorry for that. There are times when the story is almost pouring out of me and onto the page, and times when I have to think through every paragraph that I put down. Despite the struggle, I strive to put out good work. It is my goal that my readers shouldn't ever be able to tell by the quality of my writing if I'm struggling. I hope I've managed to do that again.

Pleasure IS insidious. But so is fear. A'la. RAH's Time for the stars. One of the twin's unconscious fear overrides his conscious wishes. Which we all do, all the time, when we self edit without even thinking about it.

Great Chapter, especially the discussion about pleasure. One thing i would add to the discussion is that fear is as great if not greater corruptor of the soul as pleasure. I believe that it is fear not pain that corrupts the soul during torture. It reminds me of the great quote in "Black Doves" [i might get it a bit wrong] "Heroin is the greatest thing in the World... Then it destroys your life." It is the fear of Herion addiction that stops more people from trying it. A'la 1984's rats destroying love. Just my 2c.
