Ok I think it finally explains why all the members of their world rarely got fat on them thanks to Rukia. This is just messed up and disgusting in a lot of ways. So the people that are enslaved will be either take their food/fat away only given to Rukia but those who join her side will keep at least a little fat inside their bodies. To top it all that I'm starting to get this scenario like working for the queen bee expect this one is slavery. Boy Rukia did Rinari dirty and I see why she felt that kind of way.
