I suspect this would lead to lower income in the long run as people max out payments then get to read everything free henceforth, eventually it may just end up as you writing but getting no income? Personally I would like to see the tier prices changes so that 15 is the max, I suspect you may get more subscribers that way. But honestly it's hard to say 😣. Overall though I think you should keep up with subscriptions as is the norm

I'm considering all options, to find a solution people are happy with, while earning enough for rent and food !

I think that that system would be very kind of you and I would appreciate it. But I’d also prefer that you do what’s best for you! I think if you go with the new idea, I would still support the patreon but at a lower tier perhaps. The current max tier price is a bit steep for me

If people are willing to support me, I don't mind spending a bit of time managing all this stuff. And people who would otherwise cancel their support, can maybe reduce it and help me through tough times. I would rather give the choice to people who still want to support me but can not afford it anymore. Imagine if someone who was a diamond rank patron not being able to afford it anymore. Wouldn't it be unfair for him considering his huge support ? As long as my income can be enough to sustain me and my wife, I'll try to reduce the burden on the main contributors.

Is such a system sustainable for you as an author? The first thing is time investment, you'll have to monitor hundreds of patrons + deal with any problems they might have, like changing discord account. Then there's business sustainability, will this give you enough money? I guess it's similar to selling a book, but authors usually sell each new book for more money to the same fans, not give access to new books for free. I'm asking because I've supported many authors over the years and no one tried this. Most have price like $10, but then pull finished books from free sites and sell them on kindle unlimited (giving patrons some days to download book epub for free). If this system really would work out for you, I personally would be happy. It heavily favors readers.
