Charlie’s Sirens - Part 2 [Mermaid TG]

Charlie tapped a finger against his crossed arms in irritation. He was floating by the door, ready to go to class for the third day in a row, and all three of his friends were still in their alcoves, curled up like wimps and too afraid to go outside. He’d given them time, but this was getting ridiculous; they had a whole amazing world to explore and learn about, and they were wasting it.
“Alright, that’s it!”
Charlie swam across the room and pulled back the curtains to each alcove.
“All of you are coming out here and going to class, you hear?”
“Fuck off.” Max groaned, curling under the blankets as much as his tail would allow.
“No. I have been patient, I’ve been kind. You three could have done the research but you didn’t, you reap what you sew. So get your scaly butts out here!”
James made a whimpering sound and slowly swam out, he was wearing one of the seashell bras the doctors had left for him, but it barely hid his chest at all, In fact, it looked like he had done it up too tight. So the shells pressed into his tits, squashing and pushing them up even further. Charlie sighed and took pity on him.
“Come on, let me help you.”
He swam around behind the new mermaid and unhooked the bra, carefully rehooking it in a much looser position while trying to ignore the delicate curve of James’ spine.
“Thank you…”
“Come on, Ma-uh, James. Things could be worse.” Charlie said, “Look at you, you’re a hot fox!”
“I am?” James brightened a little.
“Hell yeah! You’ve got boobs out to here! That’s something right? Wouldn’t it be worse if you were ugly? So you have to spend a semester as a mermaid, so what? At least you’re a ten out of ten hottie mermaid!”
James smiled, and Charlie felt an odd flutter in his stomach. It wasn't that he liked James, but…well, he was a busty, beautiful mermaid right now with a frankly gorgeous smile. His body wanted what it wanted; he couldn’t help it.
“Thanks, Charlie. You’re really nice about all this, not teasing me.” James said, twirling around and hugging him before Charlie could react.
His breath caught in his throat; he could see James’ breasts pressing against his bare chest, the seashell bra could only hide so much. He was grateful for the scales that kept his manhood hidden so James wouldn’t be able to feel his twitch in arousal as their tails bumped together.
“You’re right. We should be going to class and getting out. It’s not like anybody down here thinks it's weird that we’re women now.”
Harry emerged, his pretty face half hidden behind his dark hair, with a nervous smile. He looked gorgeous in a white bikini and pearl necklace. He’d even put on a little makeup.
“Does…Do I look okay?” He asked quietly, his deep voice now a soft, almost musical whisper.
“You look beautiful,” Charlie said honestly. “See, this isn't so bad. Is it?”
Harry nodded nervously and swam to Charlie’s side before all three of them turned to the last alcove. Max didn’t appear, and he didn't say anything either, but they could all feel his presence—like an angry cloud.
“Fine, stay here and mope, then. The rest of us are going to go make the best of a bad situation.” Charlie called, “Come on, guys, uh…girls.”
He swam out the door with Harry and James in tow. It felt so odd to be at the front of the pack, but he couldn’t say he hated it. He never thought he would talk to Max that way, let alone get away with it. It felt pretty good—the little nerd was finally in charge. He remembered how people would look at guys on campus walking with a pretty woman following them, now he had two!
“It feels so nice swimming like this.” James sighed happily as they made their way outside, “At least underwater, I don’t feel the weight of my boobs so much, my back would be killing me if we were up on land.”
“Just one of the many benefits to being a mermaid, I guess,” Charlie replied and James beamed.
Charlie led the way through the campus to their new classes. To his surprise, James and Harry were actually pretty attentive, at least for the first few minutes. Then they started to get distracted, but unlike normal where they would snicker and get on their phones, they were being distracted by their own bodies. James ran his fingers through his now long hair, twisting it into little braids. While Harry kept geeting distracted by his own tail. He would shift in his seat, twisting to admire the dark, shimmering scales. It seemed they were just as vain as women as they had been as men! When the class was finished, both James and Harry swam right up to Charlie with expectant looks.
“What are you two looking at?”
“...What do we do now?” Harry asked quietly. “I… didn't look at our schedule.”
“Oh…keep following me, I guess.”
The rest of the day went much the same way, with Charlie leading the way and James and Harry close behind. He was settling into his leadership role quite well, if he did say so himself. He’d been a follower for so long that he never realised he had such a knack for leadership and what was even more impressive, Harry and James seemed to agree.
“I never realised how much work you put into keeping us all organised,” James said while they floated around one of the little gardens on campus. “I…feel bad. We took you for granted.”
“Yeah.” James squirmed a little, and Charlie tried very hard not to look at his chest as she did. “I’m really sorry, Charlie, and for all the teasing.”
“It was all in good fun,” Charlie replied. It wasn't true at all, but having these two hot women fuss over him was making his stomach churn in both good and bad ways.
“No, it wasn’t!” James said emphatically. “We need to make it up to you. You were really excited about this exchange, so I will make it the best one ever for you! I promise!”
He reached over and took both Charlie’s hands in his own. They were so soft and supple now that Charlie’s mind was immediately filled with images and fantasies of what it might feel like to have those hands running down his bare skin. He yanked his hands away and swallowed, watching as James cocked his head to the side in confusion.
“What’s wrong? Are my hands cold?”

Just like that, Charlie had a beautiful mermaid wrapping both his arms around one of his own and squeezing them tight. James’ whole body was flush with his side, the breasts, the tail, the long hair, he could feel all of it.
“Oh, you’re so cosy! Harry, come try this.”
Charlie’s mouth opened and closed in shock, now both of them were snuggling against him, right out in the open! “Well…I guess that would be okay…”
“Yay!”
Carefully, Charlie extracted himself from the two women and they swam off campus. He’d heard all about the beautiful coral gardens set up in the middle of Atlantis and thankfully, they weren't far from the campus. Both James and Harry stuck close, their tails occasionally bumping as they went. As they travelled, Charlie observed the other merfolk around; they were almost always in groups, or at least pairs. And when he saw a male, they were with at least two other females like himself. They swam close, some even going so far as to hold hands or kiss each other as they swam.
His stomach lurched as one of the mermaids smiled at him as she went past. She probably thought James and Harry were part of his little harem!
“Are you okay?” Harry whispered. “Your face is all red.”
“Fine! Oh, look, here we are!”
Gilded golden gates framed the coral garden and Charlie felt almost breathless as they swam beneath it. It was like something out of a film, coral of every colour of the rainbow, all artfully growing from spiralling towers and archways. Small fish darted in and out of the huge structures and merfolk swam hand in hand, enjoying the colours.
“Oh wow…” Harry breathed. “This is…gorgeous.”
Charlie could only nod in agreement. The three of them swam through the archways, admiring all the colours and how the water seemed to catch the light emanating from them, painting their skin in rainbow hues. Charlie wanted to enjoy the natural wonder but two other natural wonders kept catching his eyes. Harry’s pearls sparkled under the light, drawing Charlie’s eyes back to his chest.
“Come on, Charlie…don’t be such a perv.” He whispered to himself.
“Oh, Charlie, come look at this!” James called and Charlie was glad to have an excuse to leave Harry looking at the spire.
James was leaning over a small coral bed and raised a finger to her soft lips before pointing down. It was a bed of sea anemones, filled to the brim with tiny clownfish.
“Aren’t they cute?” James giggled quietly. “Look at them all.”
Charlie leaned in close to look, only realising a second later when he felt the warmth of James’ shoulder against him how close they were. He meant to straight up and move away, really he did, but then several hundred coral flowers picked that moment to open up and bloom, spreading rainbow light cascading over them.
“This is the most romantic place I’ve ever seen…” James whispered, turning to face Charlie.
Charlie swallowed, James’ lips perfect pink lips were slightly parted, his tongue darted out to lick them for a moment, and his eyes dipped to Charlie’s mouth.
“W-what are you doing?” Charlie stammered as James leaned in.
“Not sure…”
A second later, all thoughts fled as James kissed him, right there under the lights. Charlie wanted so badly not to enjoy it, but James’ lips felt so good against his own. Soft, supple and the perfect fit. A soft moan sent shivers down his spine, and for a moment, Charlie forgot all about who James used to be. All his body cared about were the soft breasts pressing against his chest and the delicious taste on his lips. He pulled James closer, their kiss deepening until he felt a soft tongue pressing against his lips, asking for entry. That was the wake-up call he needed and Charlie rushed backwards, breathing heavily.
James floated where he’d left him, lips slightly swollen from their hard kissing. God, even now, when he was horrified with himself Charlie had to admit he looked incredible.
“Uh…”
“What’s going on here?”
Charlie whipped around to see Harry heading their way and his face burned red hot.
“I…I don’t know what came over us!” Charlie cried.
“Did you two…kiss?” Harry’s jaw dropped and Charlie felt his face burn even hotter. It was a miracle the water around him wasn’t starting to boil.
“I mean, it’s not that weird, right?” James said. “I’m a woman now so it’s like, totally normal. Wait, hang on…”
He swam right up to Harry, who was trying and failing to hide behind his hair.
“Are you jealous?”
“...A little.”
“What!?” Charlie cried. “What do you mean jealous?”
“He’s jealous I got to kiss you first.” James giggled. “I knew I wasn’t the only one dealing with butterflies!”
Charlie’s mouth opened and closed a few times in shock, trying to make sense of what was happening. Were these two…fighting over him? He was torn between horror and utter delight. After all, what sort of guy didn’t fantasise about tewo hot women wanting him? But it was a bit more complicated when those hot women were his friends. There had to be something else going on here, they were acting totally loopy!
“I think we need to go see that doctor again.” He said after a moment. “You guys are acting…weird.”
“I feel fine,” James argued.
“I’ll go with you.” Harry cooed, wrapping her arms around Charlie’s. “It’s so nice of you to worry.”
“Oh! Oh, I will come too then!”
Charlie didn’t know what to say. But as they made their way out of the garden toward the hospital, he couldn’t help but enjoy the feeling of having a beautiful woman on both arm. No matter how hard he tried not to.

The doctor smiled ruefully and shook her head.
“Your friends are just fine, " she said. Mermaids are naturally quite tactile, and with such a huge physical change, it's not surprising that their hormones are a little all over the place. Mermaids have a naturally high libido. It’s how we maintain a large population.”
Charlie bit his lip, neither Harry nor James seemed bothered by the news.
“Personally, I applaud their adaptation to our customs.” The doctor continued as she turned to Harry in particular. “I hear it is not normal for men to wear make-up on the surface. Yet here you are, embracing it.”
Harry blushed and pressed a finger to his glossy lips.
“It seemed…fun.” He whispered.
“And you have such lovely eyes, dear, you shouldn’t hide them behind your hair.”
The doctor reached forward and pulled back Harry’s long hair to reveal more of his face, only for the mermaid to quickly put it back with a blush.
“Ah well, what is it you humans say? Baby steps?” She teased. “Anyway, I encourage you all to embrace mermaid society fully.”
“Fully embrace as in…”
“Embrace each other, yes.” She laughed. “Goodness, you are a literal bunch aren’t you? I will have to make a note that humans need to be told things point blank. As a dominant male in a group, you will feel the urge to protect and look after your new females, I encourage you to follow that instinct, it leads to wonderful places, I assure you.”
“Oh, I am not sure about that…” Harry whispered, and Charlie watched as his eyes darted to his lips and back again. “Though it wouldn’t be that bad, I suppose.”
“That’s the spirit!” The doctor grinned as she opened the door for them to move out.
Charlie could not believe what he was hearing.
“Come on, Charlie, let’s go,” James said with a bubbly smile, grabbing his hand and half dragging him through the door.
“You guys are taking this whole becoming women thing…surprisingly well.” He said after a minute.
“Yeah well…Harry shrugged. “What choice do we have?”
“Exactly, I was embarrassed at first, but spending all day curled up hiding was getting so boring.” James whinged. “And now, at least we are out and having fun!”
“And…the kiss?”
James’ cheeks dusted pink.
“It just felt like the right thing to do at the time. Did you not like it?”
James’ face was a mess of emotions: tentative, hopeful, embarrassed, and Charlie couldn’t help but think he looked cute. He looked so…lost. Before he could think the action through more, he put an arm around James and hugged him close.
“It was fine.” he smiled. “I really liked it.”
“So…do you think we could do it again?”
Charlie hesitated for a moment. He didn't want to take advantage of his friend, even if James totally would have in this situation. But looking at James now, he was unrecognisable. This beautiful woman was almost an entirely different person in his mind. Charlie swallowed nervously; oh, what the hell? Why deny himself something he and James so clearly wanted?
“If you want to.”
James’ face broke into a beautiful smile and he swam right up to Charlie and placed those soft hands against his bare chest. It was only then Charlie realised that, technically, he was swimming around naked all the time. The realisation sent a shiver down his spine as James leaned in and pressed their lips together. It was just as good as last time, no, better. Because now he could fully enjoy it. Charlie let his mouth fall open and James’ eager tongue probed inside. He was such a good kisser. When they finally broke apart, he felt breathless, and James smiled ear to ear.
“Hey! Don’t hog him.”
Harry rushed forward, gently pushing James aside and, without warning, claimed Charlie’s lips again. His kisses were softer than James’s, more tentative, almost like he was worried he was doing something wrong. A strange surge of protectiveness washed over Charlie, and he reached out to cup Harry’s face. Holding him gently and putting as much comfort into returning his kiss as possible. Who would have thought, under that strong, silent demeanour, he was so nervous? It was actually a little cute.
“Don’t hold back, I won’t judge you.” He murmured and Harry let out a little moan before returning to their make-out session.
When they finished and finally broke apart, James was floating nearby, looking jealous, and Charlie chuckled.
“That doctor wasn’t kissing, you guys really are horny.”
“It’s not our fault!”
“Yeah, you heard what she said. It’s biology.”
“I knew there was a reason that was my favourite subject…” Charlie sighed, opening his arms and allowing both Harry and James to take one each. They snuggled into him and they enjoyed the gentle, warm current moving through their hair.
“You know, I was thinking. Maybe while we are here, you two should pick different names?” Charlie suggested. “It feels weird calling you by your old ones.”
“I totally agree,” James said. “And it's easy to change, Jamie and Harriet? That way, it's easy?”
“Sounds perfect.”
Jamie lit up at the praise, and Charlie gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. She was so eager to please, it was adorable. He’d have to ensure she didn get taken advantage of down here.
“Do you think we could convince Max?” Harry said as they made their way back to the dorm. “It seems like a shame for him to miss all this.”
“We can only try.”
“If anybody can get through to him, it’s you, Charlie.”
“Really?”
“Oh yeah, Max always trusts what you say.” Harry nodded. “He just never wants it to seem that way, his pride is too important. You knew that, right?”
“No? Max is always pushing me around and I swear half of what I say goes in one ear and out the other.”
“Oh, he’s always listening, I think he’s embarrassed that he struggles to keep things together so much, he’s a pretty disorganised person. If it weren't for you keeping tabs on him and his work I reckon he’d have flunked out by now. Sometimes, when he’s drunk, he admits how much he wants to be more like you.”
Charlie blinked in surprise, Harry had depended on him that much? He’d always assumed that Harry kept him around to help him out and mooch off, but he didn’t know that Max actually respected him for it.
“We should probably go back and check on him,” Charlie said after a moment. “Leaving him on his own was probably a bad idea.”

Max stared at his reflection in the mirror, trying to will himself back into his male body. He hated this face, he hated his beautiful red hair and glittering gold tail. He hated how hot he looked and how he’d never felt more attractive and confident in his own skin as he did right now. He wanted that feeling in his normal body, dammit! Or at least his normal, merman body.
“This is all Charlie's fault.” He hissed, but even as he said it, he knew it wasn’t true.
He’d let Charlie take the lead as always rather than stepping up. He was so used to acting like the one in charge while Charlie worked behind the scenes he never realised it could backfire like this. Maybe…maybe he deserved it. He was a little rough with the guy sometimes but that was all in good fun, right? Charlie knew that? He must. Otherwise, he’d never be friends with him or the others. Still, even if he had been a bit of a jerk here and there, he didn’t deserve this.
He swam back and examined himself in the mirror for the dozenth time. Taking in the breasts and hourglass figure. He was gorgeous and he felt it. It wasn’t very manly, to feel beautiful but he couldn’t help himself. He loved the sheen his long red hair had, and the way his breasts floated gently against his chest despite their size. He pulled back the seaweed curtains of the room and looked out into the open oceans. The Atlantis University campus stretched out around him, mermaids swam right past the window and waved at him. Her smile was friendly and Max shrank back and let the curtain fall back in front of him. There was a click behind him and he turned just in time to see Charlie and the others swim inside.
“Oh good! You’re out!” James grinned. “We’ve had such a good day! The classes are sort of boring but just being here makes things more interesting.”
“You should come tomorrow.” Harry said quietly. “Atlantis has a lot to do as well, we got invited to a party.”
“A party?” Max couldn’t help but perk up at that. He loved a good kegger, did mermaids even have keg parties?
“Yeah.” Charlie smiled, swimming up to him and opening a little shell. The inside was smooth, with a little screen and dial pad almost like a phone. An invite and number were flashing on screen.
“One of the other dorm girls is holding a opening semester party.” James continued. “It sounds fun! We’ll get to meet so many people!”
“Meet people? Like this?” Max indicated to his new body. “Why the hell would you want to do that, James?”
“It’s Jamie, actually.” She preened. “Harriet and I have decided to embrace our new feminine sides, they’re only temporary after all.”
“What!?”
“She’s right,” Harriet said. We’re here for a semester, why not? Nobody here will judge us. And we can always keep it secret once we’re back if it's that embarrassing.”
“It’s better than spending a whole semester in this room.” Charlie added. “It’s been almost a full week and you haven’t been to a single class. You’ll fail the whole semester at this rate.”
“I’ll just copy your stuff like I always have.” Max replied, jutting out his chin and trying his best to look defiant.
“No. You won’t.” Charlie said and Max felt his jaw drop, since when did that little pipsqueak talk to him like that? It was hard to keep the grin off his face; this was exactly what he needed to feel macho again. A bit of posturing, maybe Charlie would even throw a punch, not that Max would ever actually hurt him. A good fight would at least make him feel like his old manly self again. And yet, as Charlie swam up to him, confident and proud, Max felt the instinct to shrink back.
“Look, Max, I get that this is hard.” he said gently. “But we’re all here for you, your pride isn’t the be all and end all of things, come to the party, come to class. I’ll even let you copy my assignments a little but you have to get out and give this whole mermaid thing a try, okay?”
Max bit his lip; this wasn’t what he wanted. He wanted Charlie to be all understanding and soft with him, even if it did make him feel sort of nice, seen in a way. Max breathed in deep and let out a sigh, causing a swirl of bubbles around them.
“I’ll come to class.” He said finally before shrugging off Charlie’s hand. “But not because you told me to.”
“Yay!” Jamie cried, “See, Charlie, I knew you could convince him.”
Max felt the whole world shift under him, watching as his now busty friend leaned over and kissed Charlie right on the cheek. He must have looked shocked because Jamie giggled when she saw his face.
“I told you, we’re embracing being mermaids. All of it.”
“Well, not me!” Max said stubbornly. “I’m going to class…and the party, but don’t expect me to go all gaga like these two!”
He pointed at Harriet and Jamie as they snuggled against Charlie’s side. Jealousy burned deep in Max’s chest, and he told himself it was because he wanted to be in Charlie’s position, not because he wanted to join the other mermaids at his side. Nope, never, he refused. Maybe he could learn to live with being female for a semester, but he refused to be part of Charlie’s little harem. No matter how badly a small part of him wanted to.

Harry was talking about Max, and didn't say anything about depending on Charlie as much as Max did.
