“For a while now, I’ve felt like I am being watched.” Isabella mused, “Strangers seem oddly dedicated to meeting me, even my gardening tried to make a pass at me the other month. Or should I say, my new gardener, since my regular one mysteriously won the lottery and was replaced?”
She walked back and forth while Misty tried to devise a plan in her head.
“You’re the latest,” Isabella said, once again leaning in close.
“You brought me here.” Misty pointed out. “You approached me, not the other way around.”
Isabella shook her head with a wry smile.
“No, you did that little walk into me back when I was still male. Don’t think I didn’t notice how staged it was. You’re lucky you’re so hot or I would have called you out there and then.”
“You think I’m hot?” Misty smiled wryly.
“Of course I do,” Isabella replied, not falling for the distraction bait. “That’s why I bought you here and ravished you.”
“Mmm and what a good ravishing it was.”
“If you’re trying to make me forget about the snooping by complimenting my love-making skills.”
“Lovemaking, not sex, you must really like me.”
“...You’re very good, you know.”
“In bed? Yes, I kno-”
“No, at talking a person in circles. Most people would have let their guard down by now.”
“Not you, though?”
“Not me.”
“Damn.”
Isabella actually laughed at that.
“It sucks that you’re clearly up to something, I like somebody I can verbally spar with.” She smiled fondly.
“The feeling is mutual.”
They stayed in silence for a few moments, simply watching each other before Isabella sighed dramatically.
“Come on, if I am going to have to go through the humiliation of transforming back in front of somebody I don’t want to be sober. Let’s go to the lounge and get a drink.”
“Trying to get me drunk now? Is that wise, considering I’m some evil snooper?”
“You’re not evil,” Isabella said with certainty. “I have a pretty good read on people, you’re up to something, don't get me wrong but…I don’t know there is something telling me you’re not here to hurt me.”
‘Not yet anyway,’ Misty thought darkly. Harrington hadn’t ordered her to harm Langston, only to get information. Of course, a fight was always a risk, but the idea of having to hurt Isabella left a sour taste in her mouth. She silently prayed it wouldn’t come to that. They walked downstairs into a warm lounge, complete with a wet bar, which Isabella promptly stood behind and poured them both whiskey.
“Why does a recluse have a wet bar?” Misty asked genuinely.
“I’m not a recluse. I just…don’t like being in public as a man if I can help it.” Isabella shrugged. “Ever since I found that formula, I’ve been making this serum to fight the dysmorphia, and it’s been…wonderful.”
There was a wistfulness in her voice. Misty thought back to her life as Jack Cross, how confident and assured she felt as her old self. Then how she felt right after the change. She’d settled into this body now, but she couldn't imagine how hard that might have been without the mental changes that came with using the serum. Let alone how debilitating that would be if it was her normal. If a serum could give her the body she craved, even temporarily she’d have done the same thing. Again guilt twisted in her stomach; Isabella would probably kill to have the permanent version of the serum that had been used on her.
They both threw back a drink and settled in to wait. Normally, Misty would have secretly taken an alcohol inhibitor and simply enjoyed the taste, but she was feeling risky tonight. She let the alcohol flow through her veins and warm her blood. Watching with fascination and a little arousal as pink started to dust Isabella’s cheeks after the first three.
“God, what am I doing? Getting drunk with the person who basically broke into my house?” She laughed, “I must have been more lonely than I thought.”
“I didn’t break in! You brought me here and ravished me, remember?”
“Yeah, but you clearly made me do it!” Isabella snorted, drunkenly leaning forward. “It’s what you wanted right, get me into bed and then get to my computer too, I dunno…do something. I’ll know what soon enough.”
“Oh?” Misty raised an eyebrow. “Going to interrogate me are you? Is that why neither of us have gotten dressed yet?”
Her mind was instantly filled with images of Isabella fucking the answer out of her, holding her on the edge of orgasm until she admitted who she really was. Misty shuddered, even years of training wouldn’t have prepared her for something like that. She might even fold. Isabella just smiled flirtatiously as the sound of a phone pinging echoed through the empty room. She got up and walked over to the table where her phone was sitting and opened it.
“While I was leaning over you, I typed a few strokes on the keyboard,” she explained. “I run a company that makes cutting-edge weapons technology. Do you think I don’t have spyware and other forms of security on my home computer?”
Shit. Misty hadn't even noticed.
“Now let’s see what you looked at…”
Misty sat, sweating slightly as Isabella’s brow began to furrow.
“You…checked all messaging software first….and then the work files but you haven’t copied anything…why? Even if you have an eidetic memory, If you were after secrets to sell to the highest bidder, you’d need proof.”
“Because I’m no traitor, I would never steal for the sake of myself,” Misty replied proudly, only to wince as she realised her mistake.
“For yourself? So you’d steal for somebody else?”
Misty shook her head in disbelief; how had this woman run such circles around her?
“You know,” She said, “You’d make an excellent secret agent.”
“Is that what you are?” She scoffed and Misty just smiled.
She watched as Isabella studied her face and the incredulous expression slowly melted away.
“No way…”
“Yes, way, and can I just say that you’re the first non-spy who has ever gotten that out of me?”
“You know what’s crazier than the fact I apparently seduced a spy? The fact that I believe you.” Isabella replied, sitting back down on the couch across from Misty and pouring them each another drink.
“MI6.”
“So, Misty Allure is a cover name, that explains it.”
“Yes and no, it’s the only name I have so…it’s real as they get. Even if it makes me sound more like a stripper.”
“I like it, Misty, like mysterious but also…cool and fresh. Like the countryside in the spring when the morning fog rolls in.”
“Thanks, Wordsworth.”
“Oh shut up and tell me why you were looking at my stuff, if you wanted to steal it for MI6 or whatever that doesn't make sense. We have government contracts, all of our weapons, including the new anti-aircraft stuff is being shared with the defence for and MI6. You must have seen that.”
“I did. That’s what has me confused. I think I’ve been sent on a half-baked mission.”
“Want to share what the half-baked details are?”
Misty hesitated for a moment, an agent never revealed their mission especially not to the target but she couldn’t get all those inconsistencies out of her head. Not to mention the complete lack of suspicious activity. Something wasn’t right.
“You’re suspected of selling military secrets to a foreign party. I’m here to find out who and how much they are paying.”
“Selling military secrets?” Me?” Isabella gaped. “Never.”
“Well, most people accused of this sort of thing say the same thing.”
“What else am I supposed to say?” She threw up her hands. “I’m not a traitor! End of story! You snooped through my computer, didn't you? That should prove it.”
“You could have a secret phone, or a partner used to hide your tracks.” Even as she suggested it, she doubted it was true. “You had that spyware on the computer after all. Maybe I missed something.”
“You don’t believe that, though…do you?”
Misty looked at the knowing smile on Isabella’s face; she’d never felt so…understood by somebody before. Here was somebody who could read her like a book, and after only one night. Their little back and forth was just as intoxicating as her body had been. She was right of course, Misty was sure now, more than ever, that Isabella was innocent. The question then became, what exactly was going on here? She opened her mouth to reply when suddenly Isabella winced. Misty watched in shock as her breasts seemed to shrink a little, and her figure lost a bit of its curve.
“The serum is wearing off.” Isabella sighed sadly before blushing and moving her eyes to the floor.
Misty swallowed, feeling genuine pity for the woman.
“Did you still want to call security on me?”
“...No.”
“Then I don’t see why I need to make this harder on you,” Misty replied, getting to her feet. I’m going to get dressed.”
She turned around and left Isabella to her change, quickly running upstairs and putting her heels and dress back on. She gave one last look to the door before grabbing her laser lipstick and using it to cut the lock on the window. Misty could see the sun rising over the horizon, painting the cityscape in pink. It had been a long night.
“See you next time.” She whispered to the empty room and then, she was gone.

Misty woke to blinding sunlight as somebody forced open her curtains. She’d come home and immediately collapsed into bed to sleep after the exhausting night, and her head pounded thanks to the whiskey. She groaned, shielding her eyes and collapsing back into bed when she saw a familiar smile looming over her.
“Jasmine…how did you get in here?”
“What sort of a question is that, Misty?” she laughed. “I’m an agent. The real question is what MI6’s best doing leaving her window unlocked.”
“I was in a hurry.”
“And if I were the enemy, you’d be dead.”
“If you were the enemy and you knew where I lived, we’d have bigger problems.” Misty sat up in bed. “What are you doing here?”
“I came for the goss.” She grinned, perching herself on the end of the bed. “How was Langston? Is he good in bed? How did it feel?”
“You sound like a teenager.”
“Well, you did just lose your female virginity in a way! I want to hear all about it. Especially because you didn’t check in, Harrington is about to blow a gasket but I convinced him to send me instead. You’re welcome, by the way.”
“It was orgasmically, mindblowing, now, can you please leave me alone? I need to sleep.”
“Aw, what?” Come on, we’re girlfriends now. This is the sort of thing women talk about.” She cooed, curling up beside her in the bed and shuffling closer.
Misty sighed. She trusted Jasmine as much as any spy could trust another spy that is. Which meant she’d trust the woman with her life but not her secrets. And Isabella’s secrets were hers now.
“He was amazing in bed, just fabulous. I can't even remember what it feels like to find women attractive.” He lied easily and Jasmine laughed in delight.
Amazing, how easy lying was all of a sudden. After that chat with Isabella, she was beginning to worry she’d lost her touch but no, it was just that she’d met her match int he other woman. Jasmine was good, really good, and yet she didn't doubt a word as Misty told her, in excruciating detail, how it felt to get fucked by a man.
“It sounds like you might even want to stay in this body once the job is done if you’re having this much fun with it,” Jasmine giggled.
“You know, I sort of do!” Misty laughed, only realising it wasn’t a lie when the words were out of her mouth.

“Allure, you haven’t checked in for over twenty-four hours.” Harrington chided. “And Agent Jewel didn’t get any information out of you, well, anything pertinent.”
“Sir, this really isn’t a good time.”
“Too bad. I need to know how things are going…why is the wind so strong?”
“Because I am hanging off the thirty-first floor window,” Misty replied, turning the compact around to show the cityscape below. I did say it wasn't a good time to talk.”
“What in God's name are you doing hanging off a building? Wait, is this why I got a requisition form for a parachute and climbing gear?”
“Langston’s personal computer was a dead end, but I saw some…interesting notes. I'm going to check the word mainframe at his office. But security is tight, and this was the easiest way.”
“I find that hard to believe.”
“Well, I am here now, so I can either climb all the way down, or you can hang up and let me get my class cutter out.”
Harrington cut the call, and Misty smirked; she would probably cop an earful for that later tonight, but right now she had bigger issues. If Isabella, she refused to think fo the woman as Samuel anymore, wasn’t the one selling secrets, who was?
Misty crouched low to the ground, moved silently through the shadows of the dimly lit office building. Moving from shadow to shadow like a ghost as she had so many times in the past. Only it was even easier now; with her skin-tight suit keeping everything in check and her superior flexibility and balance, she moved silently as the shadows she moved through. It was child’s play to bend and stretch her way through the security lasers, even performing a full split at one point. It was almost a shame to disable them; moving had never been more fun. She looped the cameras and then headed for the CEO’s office. Isabella would probably notice somebody had snuck in, but she’d beg for forgiveness rather than ask permission right now. She was about to open the door when she heard the soft sound of footsteps on plush carpet. She turned just in time to see a nightwatchman coming around the corner, flashlight in hand.
“Oh good.” Misty sighed in her most dramatic voice. “I thought nobody would ever find me.”
“What? How did you get in here?” The guard stepped closer and Misty put on her best expression of relief.
“I was here when everybody went home, they locked me in, and I forgot my phone…”
The man looked her up and down, taking in the skin-tight climbing suit, clearly not the sort of thing one wore to work here. He reached out and grabbed Misty’s wrist, but she didn't resist.
“Likely story, you’re coming with me.”
“Of course.” She smiled, leaning in close, “I was so scared up here by myself in the dark…”
Misty hugged herself close to the guard, letting her breasts press up against his side and feeling the tension in his muscles relax slightly. He was letting his guard down, even if he didn’t realise it. Misty reached up to place her palm against his shoulder as well, then squeezed hard.
“Ouch! Hey, what the uh…wha… what….going…on?” He dropped to the floor, and Misty smirked and admired her knock-out nail polish.
“How did I ever survive without this?”
One hidden guard body later, she was back to work, clicking open the door to the office to get back to work. The office was immaculate, a testament to Isabella's meticulous nature. She did two passes of the office to look for bugs and other security measures. She didn’t want to get caught out again. Once she was sure the room was clear she began to look for anything suspicious, hidden notes stuck to the tops of drawers, hidden rooms and finally, she hacked her way into the computer. Hours passed, but she found nothing. No evidence of leaks, no incriminating data. Frustration gnawed at her. This didn’t add up. If there were no digital or physical records of the leaks, then the transactions must be happening off the books, in person. That left only two suspects: Isabella, who, after meeting, she was sure was innocent or this Agent Skylar, her mysterious MI6 contact whom she had never met and knew nothing about. The fact that Harrington hadn’t mentioned them and the fact that she knew for a fact they weren't on the books left only one option. A rogue agent; somebody was using a pseudonym to make Isabella think MI6 was getting information when, really, they were just keeping and selling themselves. But who in the agency would do such a thing? More importantly, who had the skill to pull off a job like this right under their handler’s nose?
“If this is all happening in person…I think I need to pay my lady love another visit.” Misty grinned to herself, secretly glad to have a reason to sneak back to Isabella’s bedroom. Harrington didn’t need to know she’d made a stop on the way to check in again.

Misty waited, hidden in the tree outside Isabella’s bedroom, until she came home. She was herself again, complete with a gorgeous red dress that showed off her legs and hips beautifully. Hear stirred in Misty’s loins, but she pushed it aside for now; unfortunately, the mission came first.
“I have a door, you know.” Isabella smiled as Misty slipped in through the window.
“You don’t seem bothered,” Misty said back, “Or surprised.”
“I thought I’d be seeing you again, I’ve been hoping you would come back and tell me MI6 is no longer investigating me and that we could go to dinner…without the subterfuge.”
Misty blushed.
“That would be nice…but unfortunately I am here on business.”
“And you don’t believe in mixing it with pleasure?” Isabella raised a disbelieving eyebrow.
“Not at all. I love it. So let’s get the business over with quickly, shall we?” Misty sat down on the bed. You meet with Agent Skylar in person, right?”
“Yes…how did you know-”
“Doesn’t after, I need you to tell me what they look like.”
Misty quickly explained what she’d figured out and how this ‘Agent Skylar’ was setting them both up. Isabella’s brow furrowed and her hands curled into fists.
“That bitch, I’ll ruin her for this.”
“A woman?” Misty said, that surprised her, there weren’t many woman agents.
“Yes, I feel like such an idiot. We only met a few times, and she showed me her credentials as an MI6 agent. I thought I was helping my country, not selling it out,” Isabella hissed. She had dark hair, pouty lips, and pale skin…”
Misty felt a cold stone form in her stomach; she knew that description. She knew it very intimately.
“You’re talking about Jasmine Jewel.”

The walk up to Harrington’s office seemed to take twice as long. Maybe she was dragging her feet, she couldn’t be sure. Jasmine…how could Jasmine betray her like this? Not only had she been as close to a friend and confidant as a spy could be, hell, they had been far more than friends on multiple occasions. She even trained her for this mission! How could she do that, smile, laugh and tease all the while knowing that the mission wasn’t necessary and that Misty would go down for her crimes? And how had she not seen it? Misty had been so distracted by her own nerves at being turned into a woman she’d been blind to the truth. Still, even knowing that she was a traitor she felt bad knocking on Harrington’s office to reveal her. God knows what fate awaited a traitor to MI6.
“Come,” Harrington called as he knocked. “Ah, about time Agent Allure.”
“Apologies, things didn't exactly go to plan.”
“In what way?” Harrington asked seriously, pushing his computer screen aside to give Misty his full attention. He began to explain how the mission had gone down, though his stomach squirmed at revealing Isabella’s transgender secret, not that Harrington seemed to care. He listened to the whole story with a serious look on his face, right up until Misty explained breaking into the office building.
She was about to tell him about her realisation about the in-person meeting and that it was Jasmine who’d betrayed them when her eyes caught the reflection of Harrington’s computer in the dark window. It was nothing, just a folder that shouldn’t have caught her eye. It was half distorted in the window reflection, but after years of spy work Misty was trained to pick up on everything. Even though it was blurry, she could see it a set of messages sent from his account…under the name Skylar.
Instantly, everything became crystal clear. Harrington was Skylar. Harrington was the one getting the military secrets before anybody else. He was the traitor. The odd choice for the mission, the fact that Jasmine had mysteriously been taken out right before it so that Misty had to be created, Harrington’s oddly patchy briefing…now it all made sense. Misty and Isabella were being set up to take the fall for his dirty dealings; and he’d probably used the temporary version of the serum on himself to ensure nobody ever suspected a man. He’d set Jasmine up as well!
“Everything alright, Agent Allure?” Harrington asked, “You look pale.”
“Just tired.” She lied smoothly, carefully keeping her rage hidden beneath the surface. “As I was saying, there was nothing in the office building, but I think there may be a hidden hard drive back at the house. I should get back to Langston, I am close to catching him, I’m sure.”
Using the pronoun ‘him’ to refer to Isabella left a bitter taste in her mouth.
“I think you’re right.” Harrington smiled, his white teeth now reminding Misty of a shark. “I think this will all be over in a week or so.”
“And then I can go back to being Jack Cross?”
“Of course,” Harrington replied, agreeing far too easily. That confirmed it, he had no intention of ever getting Jack Cross Back, Misty Allure was going to get taken out or thrown in a hole so deep nobody would ever hear from her again. And she had a week to make sure it didn’t happen.
“Well then sir, back to work.”
“Good luck!”
Misty smiled her fakest, most deceiving smile and left the office. She had to get to Isabella. They needed a plan.

“Harrington must have slipped up at some point.” Misty theorised. “The big man up top caught wind that something was going down, and now he’s using us to cover his tracks. He gets ordered to have an agent find the leak, so he creates one.”
“But why sacrifice his best agent?” Isabella asked.
“For exactly that reason, I’m the best agent. He must have known I’d figure him out eventually, even if he distracted me with other missions. I was a sacrifice he had to make to keep his own nose clean.” Misty hissed. “That’s why he picked Samuel Langston as well. You’re a genius; eventually, you would have caught onto him as well, by setting us up as the fall girls, he gets rid of both parties who could ever find him out and gets the government off his back by ‘solving’ the problem.”
“A plan that’s elegant in its simplicity.” Isabella raised an eyebrow.
“I wouldn’t call it simple-”
“That was sarcasm, darling.”
Misty blushed, and Jasmine sauntered in after checking the perimeter for a third time to make sure none of Harrington’s men were watching the clandestine meeting. The three women sat around Isabella’s longue, each with a glass of wine in hand and murder in their eyes. Jasmine had been none too pleased to find out she was being set up as well.
“I knew that lucky shot was too lucky.” She pouted, patting her now healed side. “Harrington showed up to save me right after. He must have shot me with the gun of one of the other assailants I’d defeated. Bastard.”
“We’ll make him pay, but we must be smart about it.” Misty nodded. “At the moment, all evidence points to you two, and I would bet the barn he’s got every single time I failed to capture agents like Locks down as proof that I’ve been a collaborator for years.”
“People did suspect you and Locks were more than friends,” Jasmine said. “And we’ve been close, too. Now you’re Isabella’s lover. It wouldn't be hard for him to twist the truth. We need ironclad proof and witnesses.”
“Harrington is one of the oldest and most experienced handlers in MI6…he’s going to be a tough nut to crack.” Misty mused.
“Cracking tough nuts is what I do, it’s how I got to the top of the corporate ladder.” Isabella grinned. “With both of you, I am sure we’ll be able to come up with a plan. What we need to do is be quick and ruthless, don’t give him a chance to fire back or even suspect we’re onto him.”
She paced the room, hand under her chin in thought and Misty watched her with a strange mixture of lust and admiration. She was so intelligent, so focused, it was a sight to behold. That and the tight pencil skirt she was strutting around in. Misty put on a pot of coffee, expecting a long night of planning ahead of them that wine wouldn’t aid but by the time she handed over the steaming mugs Isabella was smiling wiely.
“Alright, here is what we do.”

A man in a trenchcoat stood beneath a lamppost, the only functioning one in the dark street. The wind was cold and his grip on the briefcase was iron. This area of town was known for drug deals and hookers, it was the perfect place to do a covert handoff. Anybody who saw would think it was some sort of drug deal and turn away on instinct. From the fire escape across the road, Misty watched. She’d disguised herself as a lady of the night on her smoke break, complete with a cheap, tight-fitting red dress and an unlit cigarette on her lips. She watched Isabella from up on high and held her breath; it was odd to see her in her Samuel form. Wrong almost. When she’d first come down the stairs as a man again, complete with suit and trenchcoat, she’d looked almost embarrassed. Now she stood there in the open, waiting. The clock ticked by and Misty started to worry that Harrington had sensed a trap and fled but thankfully, a few minutes past the agreed time, another figure appeared through the shadows. Tall, dark hair, pale skin; female. An almost perfect copy of Jasmine, it would have fooled Misty herself if she didn't know for a fact that Jasmine was hiding in the alleyway below. Misty leaned a hand against her ear as though bored and turned on the hidden earpiece to listen.
“Langston, what can I do for you?” Harrington greeted warmly. “Our normal meeting place would have been fine.”
“No, I wanted to get this to you right away.” Isabella said breathlessly. “R&D finally finished the new porottype. It’ll eb unveiled to the private sector soon but I couldn’t bear the thought of our country having to pay for such important technology.”
“Important in what way?” Harrington replied. Even from way above, Misty could see the greed in his eyes; how had she missed this?
“It could revolutionise warfare,” Isabella continued. “It’ll cost people a fortune, but when they build it…my god.”
“How much are we talking?”
“The plans alone would be worth millions.” Isabella said, “I know MI6 will put them to good use, Agent Skylar.”
“Of course. Thank you very much for bringing it to my attention.” Harrington said, taking the briefcase carefully and opening it to find nothing more than a USB. “I look forward to seeing it myself.”
The pair said their goodbyes, and Misty finally let out the tense breath she’d been holding. The USB contained several half-finished weapon blueprints, mish-mashed together in such a way that, hopefully, Harrington would believe they were real and functional. If he bought Isabella’s lie about the private sector, he’d also be rushing to sell it, and hopefully, the spyware hidden away in the USB would do the rest. Now all they had to do was wait.
Separately, they all made their way to the rendezvous point outside MI6 headquarters and settled into the empty apartment they’d made their home base for the night. Isabella opened her laptop and gritted her teeth. Jasmine disappeared intot he night, ready for phase two.
“If it works, this screen should turn on and mirror Harrington’s as soon as he plugs in the USB. It’ll record everything, and Jasmine will film the rest from inside the building's security once she overrides his failsafe. Then, when he contacts a buyer, we confront him.” She paced back and forth for a bit before sitting down on the ground in a huff. “And I can get myself my serum and stop feeling so wrong.”
Misty bit her lip before speaking.
“You know, there is a version of the serum that’s permanent.”
“What? Really?” Isabella’s eyes went wide. Even in her male form, her eyes were dazzling and the hope in her voice made Misty’s heart ache.
“Yes…it was used on me.”
“On you…you were-?”
“A man before this mission. When this is all finished…I will get you a dose of the serum, then you can be yourself forever.”
Tears swam in Isabella’s eyes.
“Thank you..” She whispered. “And…are you going to change back?”
“I…I don’t know.” Misty admitted. “I never had a life outside the missions but I think I can see one in this body…maybe with you.”
“I think I can see that as well,” Isabella whispered. They leaned closer before she moved away, pressing her lips into a thin line. “Sorry, not while I look…like this.”
“Of course.”
The conversation halted as the laptop came to life, the mouse moving across to open the USB files as Harrington finally took the bait. They watched as Harrington pursued the documents, and at some point, Misty realised they’d started to hold hands. Then she watched with a mixture of horror, delight and relief as Harrington opened a covert messaging app and began to negotiate a sale.
“Jasmine, we’ve got him. Move!” Misty whispered into her ear piece before turning to Isabella. “Stay here, I’m going to back her up.”
“Stay safe.”
“Always, Harrington should have known not to cross me. It’s in the name.”
“...huh?”
“It uh, makes sense with my old name. I’ll tell you later!”
Isabella’s laughter followed her out the window as Misty dove outside, quickly making her way over to the HQ and firing off her grapple up to Harrington’s window. The elevator would be too slow, and besides; she liked arriving in style with the appropriate amount of drama. With a flick of a button she was racing through the air as the line retracted and deposited her outside Harrington’s office just in time for Jasmine to burst in, gun in tow. Misty jumped backwards, building up momentum and smashing through the window with the point of her heel as Harrington swore, trying to figure out precisely what was happening. His eyes were wide, his lashes still dark and his lips still slightly full thanks the serum as he returned to his normal body.
“What is the meaning of this? Agent Jewel, Agent Allure, what has gotten into you?”
“Don’t play dumb, Harrington.” Jasmine spat. “We know everything, how you’re selling those weapon plans, how you set us all up to take the fall for it. We’ve got photos, video and your screen just recorded all your actions. You’re finished.”
“What, no!” Harrington hissed, “You can’t have-I own this building there is no way you can prove it.”
“She just listed all the ways we can, Harrington. There is no coming back from this.”
Harrington’s eyes flailed from side to side wildly, trying to spot an escape route, but he was trapped between the two scantily clad spies.
“Even with your proof….nobody will believe you. I’ve been a loyal member of MI6 for decades,” he replied. “I’ll say you were trying to frame me. After everything I have done for this country, nobody would believe you!”
“That’s what I am confused by,” Misty said, taking out her gun and pressing it to Harrington’s back. “Why Harrington? Why turn traitor now after all these years of loyal service?”
“Exactly that!” Harrington spat. “Years of service and what do I have to show for it? Nothing! I’ve saved this country more times than I can count and nobody ever finds out. No glory, no praise, no money! I’ve done so much for nothing.”
“You’ve received accolades-”
“Plesant words. They wont fill my belly will it? Or buy me a fancy house.”
Misty sneered after all this. It came down to greed and petty jealousy; how…mundane. Somehow, she had thought there would be something bigger at play. Harrington moved suddenly, revealing the hidden miniature pistol in his sleeve. Misty acted on instinct, a quick high kick knocked it from his hand and the gun clattered to the floor. Harrington dove but Jasmine was too quick, snapping it up as Misty dove atop Harrington and pinned him to the ground, legs either side of his back. He struggled, but despite her lean frame Misty held him fast, she’d learned how to use this body perfectly now.
“It’s over.” She said, cocking the gun and pressing it to the back of Harrington’s skull to dissuade another escape attempt. “You get all that recorded, Jasmine?”
“Every word.”
Everything became a blur after that, the calvary arrived thanks to a quick class from Jasmine, Harrington was taken away and the MI6 Director came to thank them both personally. There was talk of accolades, as well the serum to turn Misty back into Jack Cross. Half the words went in one ear and out the other, Misty’s focus was elsewhere. On the woman across the street, wearing an ill-fitting trenchcoat tied tightly around her waist, leaving it open enough to see part of her chest. Her face was hidden behind the broad-brimmed hat and Misty smiled; it suited her so much better now that she was herself again. Somehow, she managed to slip away from the other agents and crossed the street to where Isabella waited.
“Hey stranger.”
“Hey.”
“You want to…get a cup of coffee? There is an all-night diner a few blocks away. I might be nice to get to know each other properly. Now that this is all over.”
Misty threaded her fingers through Isabella’s and leaned forward to press their lips together.
“I’d like that.”
Epilogue
Misty stood in front of the full-length mirror, her eyes wide with excitement and a hint of nervousness. Jasmine was on her knees, fixing the hem for the final time before the ceremony.
"You look amazing, Misty." She sighed, "It's a good thing we're friends, or I'd be bitterly jealous."
She squeezed Misty's shoulders as she stood. Her dress was a masterpiece of intricate lace and satin, hugging her figure in all the right places. The sweetheart neckline accentuated her collarbones and shoulders, while the fitted bodice flowed seamlessly into a cascading skirt that pooled elegantly around her feet. Her blonde hair, styled in loose waves, framed her face beautifully, making her blue eyes sparkle even more. The dress made her look every bit the blonde bombshell she was.
"I don't know why I spent so much on these white heels if nobody is going to see them." Misty joked.
"You will, and so will Isabella when she gets the dress off you tonight."
"Get your mind out of the gutter, this is my wedding day." Misty scolded playfully. "It's about love, not sex."
"Why not both, darling?"
"Shush you."
The pair giggled and Jasmine turned unusually serious.
"Are you sure about this?"
"Of course! I love Isabella-"
"No, I mean, all of this. The wedding, the retirement? You have been an agent most of your adult life. Are you really okay with giving that up to be a trophy wife?"
"You say that like Isabella only wants me for my looks."
"You know what I mean. Won’t you miss the adventure? The thrill of the chase? The life of a spy is never dull. You really want to give all that up?"
Misty took a deep breath.
"I loved being an agent. Really. But there is more in my life now. Now that I have her in my life, going off into the unknown without talking for potentially months on end sounds like torture. Not to mention the risk to my life. I can't leave her for long stretches wondering if I am even alive."
Jasmine just smiled.
"As long as you are happy."
"I truly am," Misty replied before taking the other woman's hand in her own. "And I hope you can find the same thing one day."
Jasmine just laughed good-naturedly.
"You won't see me getting hitched any time soon."
After a few more moments of last-minute adjustments and shared excitement, it was time. Misty felt a rush of emotion as she made her way to the ceremony, her heart pounding with anticipation. The soft hum of the wedding march filled the air, and the doors opened, the pews were mostly empty, it was a small ceremony with only a few of their closest friends. Mostly former agents and a few of Isabella's staff who supported her when she officially came out last year. Thanks to the serum from MI6, Samuel Langston was no more.
As she began her walk down the aisle, Misty's eyes locked on to her soon-to-be wife standing at the altar. Isabella was breathtakingly beautiful, her tall frame draped in a sophisticated white wedding dress that complemented her dark hair perfectly. The dress was sleek and elegant, with clean lines and subtle embellishments that added a touch of sparkle without overshadowing her natural beauty. Her hair was done in an intricate updo, with soft tendrils framing her face and her eyes.
Isabella’s eyes shone with love and adoration as she watched Misty approach, and Misty felt a wave of pure joy wash over her. She had dreamed of this moment for so long, and now it was finally happening. Every step brought her closer to the woman she loved, the future they would share together.
When she reached the altar, Isabella took her hands, their fingers intertwining effortlessly. The world seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of them standing there, ready to embark on a new chapter of their lives together. The officiant was talking, but neither of them were really listening.
“You look incredible,” Isabella whispered.
“So do you.” Misty whispered.
They both tried to keep their eyes forward but it was difficult to tear their gazes away. Eventually, they both heard the magic words ‘you may kiss the bride’ and that was all the encouragement they needed. Misty wrapped her arms around her new wife and kissed her as passionately as she could, trying to put as much love and dedication as she could into the action. She was vaguely aware of people clapping as she dipped ISabella down and back up again, making her new wife laugh. They walked down the aisle hand in hand and made their way to the car, waiting to take them to the reception. Jasmine blew the pair a kiss on the way past. They practically fell into the car and Misty sighed happily as she reached for the bottle of champagne provided.
“I can’t believe it, it’s done.” Isabella said with a shake of disbelief. “We’re married.”
“It seems like a lifetime ago we met at that party,” Misty said as she poured the wine out. “It’s strange, but I am actually thankful to Harrington.”
“That traitor? He deserved everything he got for what he tried to do to us.”
It had been a little over a year since that fateful night at MI6 when they revealed Harrtington’s plot. He’d been taken away in cuffs and not seen since, if he had been any sort of public figure, it would have been the trial of the century. Misty couldn’t help but feel it was fitting that his punishment and imprisonment were all classified. Nobody but MI6 and Isabella would ever know what happened, and she was glad. She wanted Harrington to fade into obscurity to be forgotten by history entirely, it was what he deserved.
“Yeah, but without him, I never would have met you,” Misty said, clinking their glasses together. I would still be Jack Cross, a heartthrob spy whose only connections were the women he bedded to satisfy his ego.”
“It’s hard to imagine you were ever so shallow.”
“I have so much more now. That’s what’s important.” Misty smiled, sipping at her drink before leaning in for another kiss.
Isabella placed down her own glass in favour of cupping Misty’s face, holding her close and pressing their bodies as close to her as the seat and their restrictive dresses would allow. Misty sighed into her wife’s mouth, letting that warm feeling of home wash over her as a shiver of desire made its way down her spine.
“We’ll be arriving at the reception any minute…”
“Driver,” Isabella ordered with a smirk between kisses. “Take the scenic route…and close the divider.”
“Isabella!”
“What? They won't start without us.”
Misty giggled and pulled Isabella closer, letting their body heat mingle as her fingers felt along the smooth silk at the front of her dress. She may not be a jet-setting secret agent anymore, but Jasmine had been damn wrong about giving up her life of adventure. Every day with Isabella was an adventure. Each day would be a new challenge, and she couldn’t wait to tackle every single one with her new wife at her side.

Ah, it's no problem. It was a fun little James Bond-y lesbian story. But I find that oftentimes there's very little patron/creator interaction and stuff like typos or inconsistencies get missed, and then potentially stick around in the public release, too. So I try to point out what I can if I'm the mood for that.
