End of Book 2 and Future Plans

My estimate was that book 2 ends around chapters 25–27, a solid estimate, if I may say so. Sadly, my other estimate that I'll launch Book 3 before 2023 ends, is a bust. But I want to end 2023 with a bang, so here's the new plan:
- Finish the wallpapers in the next few days.
- Release Ch24 to the bronze tier a little earlier than the supposed schedule, Nov. 25 instead of 27.
- Develop and publish MTWY Offscreen Chapter (Book 2 OVA) on December 1 for silver tier+ along with the Public Release of 24
- Develop and Publish Chapter 25 before 2023 ends
- Overall edit of Books 1 and 2
That would at least be two chapters within the span of a month and change.
What's MTWY Offscreen (OVA chapter)?
MTWY's time flow in each chapter is sensible, not day 1, day 2, day 3, sequentially, which I do find very stupid and breaks story plausibility. In a sandbox game, it's a good option, but if it's a traditional visual novel, I believe it's way off. So moving on from that slight rant detour, there are time jumps in MTWY for a day, a few, or a week at most. MTWY offscreen will be the chapter in which you see what happens during those moments in their everyday lives.
Canonically, MTWY is in its 7th month.
Why didn't you include those parts/scenes in the first place?
The same reason why there are OVAs in animes, they mess up the pace when added and serve as a breather for the story, often more fanservice-friendly. More MTWY is always good; it's not like I'll take forever to make this; as evident from the schedule above.
For example, Yukine's story in this OVA is the time spent between her and MC before she leaves in Chapter 16.
How does it work?
In the initial release, it will be a separate game. Once Chapter 25 is released, this will be integrated into Book 2, like a separate menu with the OVA unlockable depending on which chapter it is in or between. It's a separate game because of Book 2's current size; it eats up a lot of time processing all that. I'd rather go 2 for 1 when Book 2 ends.
MTWY Offscreen will have assumed you have played to at least chapter 24, by the way.

Book 3
I can't believe we're finally here. Who would've thought it? I just finished setting the rest of the base storyboard for Book 3, and it will be a minimum of 14 chapters, the same as Book 2's length. I want to finish it as quickly as possible without compromising the integrity of the storyline, of course. So here's my plan at the moment: once Book 3 (the main story) ends, we will launch the indirect sequel to MTWY. I'm positive that by then we will have the resources to develop Book 4 and said sequel side by side with regular and quick updates.
Here's the wrench to all of this: I'm currently unhappy with my "actual work" situation and I feel it bleeding over to MTWY a little, hence slower updates albeit larger. I don't know how to express it but I think I'm quitting the said job soon and focusing on MTWY for the next few months at least until late Feb to March when I look for a new one.
Honestly, I'm also a little disappointed at where MTWY is at now support-wise, I'm absolutely grateful for every support that has been given however I really thought we'd be further along in this aspect, but apparently we're really not. I get that MTWY has its shortcomings as well as I, and KK has never been the most popular visual medium but still... Not to toot my own horn and I am not naming any game in particular but I've seen and played those games personally that are way worse than mine both content and release schedule and they have x3-4 supporters that I do. A little frustrating is all.
But, I hold my head high, because making MTWY is a joy. Also for now, I'm really planning on devoting a hundred percent of my energy to MTWY for the next few months, improving myself and the game, working on the lacking parts, then seeing where it goes. Feel like I'm in the minority of people who don't really care what's used for characters (KK, Honey Select, etc). Outside of that? As long as the dev(s) behind the game find the tools they're using the most convenient for what they're doing. All I really care about is whether the story and writing are good. *Although*, I must admit, now you've got me wondering what the MTWY cast would look like using other tools lol.
