Current Chivas owner's father used own Chivas. The father did amazing things with Chivas, then he died. The current owner, the son, fucked the team up.

I think its a poor chivas academy. Chivas only fields mexican players so you would assume they have the best available but they dont. They need to start "farming" better players and part of the reason they dont is the owners
