Take them at your leisure: The Cosmere Series by Brandon Sanderson (it's "main" series, The Stormlight Archive, was even rated #1 fantasy series of all time on Best Fantasy Books HQ, to be honest). The Beautiful Thing that Awaits Us All By Laird Barron. The Wide, Carnivorous Sky By John Langan. Also, as for Warhammer 40k; while I'll let the original poster give more than an overview (unless he wants me to explain more), Warhammer 40k is a science fantasy game that takes place in the far future, where humanity fights against various aliens and demons. It's got a lot of sex, violence, violent sex, and sexual violence, so I think you'd enjoy it! :D
