February game plan & a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

After thinking and rethinking and trying to push through no matter what, after delaying this decision for as long as I possibly could (because I simply don't want to do this, even if I have to) I have finally reached the point where I can't postpone this anymore. So here it is:
As of next month, March 2022, I will no longer be posting new content, neither here nor elsewhere.
I won't go into the specifics of my current situation, of the how and why and what, but the bottom line is this and it is inescapable: I just don't have the time nor the focus to reliably produce a new story every month. On top of that (again, for reasons that I have no control over and that would be pointless to discuss at all) I honestly don't have any fun anymore when I write, and that's bad, because that was always a big motivation for me. Under normal circumstances, I might have ignored that and just pulled through, hammering out a new story by sheer will and skill, so to speak, because I kinda know how to do it now. But that wouldn't have been fun either, not at all. Still, even if that scenario were possible, and even if I was to go for it, right now that entire option is precluded to me: I simply don't have the time to sit down and write anymore. It's very sad, but that's how things are for me right now.
And so, since I can no longer reliably guarantee you that I will have a 15K word new story by the end of each month (as I have always managed to pull off so far, unfailingly) and since I don't feel comfortable asking any of you to cough up any money at the start of the month without giving you the 100% certainty that you will get some new content by the end of said month, I'm calling it quits. At least for now.
I don't know when I'll be able to find the time to write again, but I know that I won't stop writing completely. On my own, without posting anything anywhere, I will still do all I can to find the time and energy to put words on paper, even if it's just one new page a month. But that's not enough to keep things going here, of course, not given the standards that I have set for myself from the beginning, which are the only standards I'm willing to accept for myself and my stories.
So far, in the 60 months since I started this page, I have posted at least one new story each month, plus a few vignettes here and there: that's 60 stories, each one at least 15K words in length, most of them longer. You do the math if you want to, but one thing's for sure: that's a lot of words. And I've done it all thanks to YOU, because of the support YOU have given me and the appreciation YOU have showed for my writing. For that, I THANK YOU, immensely. Without this kind of support, I would have stopped writing exactly 5 years ago.
Unfortunately, in this crazy times, new and unforeseen impediments have come up and keep relentlessly coming up, making it impossible for me to go on writing here, at least in the way I'm used to, and the way you have become used to. And so I have to stop, even if I don't like it and I don't want to. But I have to.
So yeah, no more new stories. This month's chapter will be the last bit of new content I produce for a while, likely for a long while, sadly enough.
Of course this page will still be here, with all the content I've posted so far remaining accessible to potential patrons, same as it is right now. If somebody wants to read my stuff, soon to be my 'old' stuff, here it all is, just like always.
Obviously, starting next month it won't make much sense to subscribe to the $10 and $20 tiers, since there won't be any more Previews, nor polls for that matter... I might close down those tiers completely, since their perks will be made irrelevant by the lack of new content, I don't know yet... Still, the basic $5 tier that gives access to all completed chapters posted so far (plus the one I'll post this month) will remain unaltered, as will be the case for the $35 tier, for exclusive access to the vignettes. So there's that.
Again, I want to THANK YOU ALL, from the heart. You have no idea how grateful I am to have received your support as I tried my best to build up this page and to create new content, aiming for quality and consistency at all times, wishing to give you something new every month, reliably. Silly as it may look from the outside, I did put a lot of work into this, but it would have all been meaningless if it hadn't been for YOU.
It's been a fun run, no matter what comes next. So thank you. I mean it.
And that's it, I think. This is not meant to be a 'Goodbye' after all, but rather a 'See you later!' The problem is that I don't exactly know how much 'later' that's gonna be... But hey, it is what it is.
Right. Okay. I still have one story to write. Better get to it!

Thank you ElectricLemonaid, I really appreciate your support! And I'm happy to know that you'll be waiting for my return here! As for the Lit thing: to be clear, I never made any 'pledges' at all. I made a plan to post my new stories (created for Patreon thanks to the support of my amazing patrons) on Lit as well, in my own time and on my own terms. There was never any real reason nor need for me to do so, but I chose to do it any way: I kept offering free content on Lit, and, in principle, I intend to keep doing it. The key point though is this: ever since I started this Patreon my commitment was to my patrons, meaning to the people who allowed me to keep writing and motivated me to do so with their support. That's it. It was my choice to then post some stories on Literotica too, even though I absolutely didn't have to do so. Many authors leave Lit entirely after a few years, others only post snippets and teasers of the content they offer to their subscribers on other platforms. I neither left Lit nor did I offer subpar content to the Lit audience. And, again, there was no obligation whatsoever for me to do so. Now, the real problem here is that, from the beginning, my plan to keep posting some content on Lit was predicated on the assumption that I would meanwhile keep posting new content here every month. To put it simply, I always wanted my patrons to have access to a substantial amount of stories that were available only to them, which is fair and makes perfect sense to me. But now that I won't be posting new content here, how is that plan going to work out? At the moment I have no answer, except that my patrons will always come first, like I stated in my Lit profile as well, from the start. I do want to keep posting stuff on Lit too, and I think I'll keep doing it, maybe slowing down the release, I dunno... One thing is for sure: to post more stuff on Lit now that I won't be posting anything new here for a while is simply not an option. In fact, it seems downright illogical to me. The people who kept me going for five years after I got disillusioned with offering my stories for free on Lit are the people who supported me HERE, and they will always come first for me. I'm sure that, as a loyal patron, you'll understand my point. And thanks again, of course! ZZ

Thanks for the years of smut. However long it takes for you to come back, I and many others will be waiting. One last thing comes to mind. When you first started your patreon, it was with a pledge that your stories would make their way to literotica eventually. I think that would be a nice way to spend the break. You can upload them and we can pretend they're brand new all over again.

Words cannot convey my appreciation, gratitude and respect. Unfortunately I'm not taking time off to rest, I just have to stop because I have no time for writing, or resting! As for Gumroad or Smashwords, I dunno... I haven't looked into those platforms so far because, well, I didn't need to. Maybe I'll look into those options, but I hardly think I'll find a solution there. Meanwhile, this page will still be here if someone wants to support me, but yeah, with no new content being offered, I don't expect anyone to do anything for me in return. Which is only fair.

While incredibly sad, it's totally understandable. In the past 60 months (wtf?!) you have hands down been the most consistent content creator that I've subscribed to, so you deserve any and all the rest in the world. Food for thought: have you considered Gumroad or Smashwords or similar? We can still support you that way without a strict schedule tying you down.
Life happens and I hope you find the enjoyment in writing again at some point. Have greatly enjoyed your content and supporting you. And will be here later. Go take of yourself and life!
